Overview
Set just 150 metres from the Ariège River, this camping is located 5 km from central Foix in the Midi-Pyrénées. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and free Wi-Fi in public areas. Camping du Lac proposes chalets, bungalows and cottages with a terrace. The modern tents have parquet flooring. All guests have access to shared bathroom facilities. All accommodation includes a kitchenette with a stove, a refrigerator and a microwave, and lighter meals are served in the snack bar. On-site activities include lawn bowls and sports tournaments. Arrived at 6.30 welcomed by lovely staff. The maid even made my bed up for me Lovely location. Park outside the door every amenity supplied. The lake the runs jjust along side the camp sight is stunning. Will Definately return.

This was such a gorgeous place. We stayed in a small cabin with a bathroom. It was very cosy. There is a lake with ducks and geese. The scenery was beautiful. The lady at the desk was so lovely and even though she spoke French and we spoke English, she was still able to explain to us about where the cabin was and the entry codes etc. A lovely night. We would have liked to stay another night.

“Disastrous”
Nothing we didn’t stay 30 minutes the so called 1 bed cottage was so small I don’t think it would pass a trade descriptions act. It wasn’t a cottage at all it was a bed in a container (similar to a small shipping container)

“We’ll come again”
The location was great for our purposes. We had never stayed in a camping cabin before. It was great and we would definitely use this again. The restaurant was fun with a great atmosphere.

“Strategic base to explore surroundings”
Good location for exploring Foix, Labouiche underground river, castles and countryside. Friendly and sympathetic staff. Clean and well equipped for a pleasant stay (air conditioned is a must). Deck with a stove, refrigerator and kitchenware. Quiet.

The bedroom was small and filled by the bed. Just enough space to walk around but barely enough space to get dressed. The outside space was good and the cabin would be good in warm weather but not so good when cold.
