“Amazing place in barra”

Patz was my house for 3 weeks. It feels like a house more than a hostel. The place is amazing, with a lots of space, huge kitchen with anything you may need. breakfast is very good, coffee always available, clean, in a quiet area at few meters from the center and from the beach. The staff is amazing, everyone is very friendly, we organised a lot of activities together. I loved the terrace, with an amazing view where you can do some exercise or just chill. “The perfect home away from home! Fabulous stay.”

This was like a home away from home. Just amazing! I was looking for a chilled place by the beach that wasn’t a party hostel where I could just have beach time and cook etc. Patz Houz exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived I was met but 4 lovely doggies coming to say hello and the friendly faces of the staff. I loved the vibe of the house immediately. It was always kept clean and tidy and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. The house was a 5-10min walk to the lovely beach and also touristy streets which were full of clothes shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The hostel also put on a delicious BBQ for us as while I was there as well as Pat kindly taking us all on a full moon walk which was beautiful at the top of one of the view points in the town. The room I was in only slept 4 and the bed was super comfy, bathroom was great too. You were able to use the washing machine for a small fee. Breakfast each morning was yummy with a good selection. What I also liked about the house/hostel is that there are only a small number of private rooms and shared rooms, this kept the house intimate and you never felt you were getting on top of each other. The spaces in the house were lovely to chill in and I personally enjoyed sitting up on the top deck of the house. WiFi was strong. I loved my stay so much I extended from 3 nights to a week. All in all one of the BEST hostels I’ve stayed in across my last 4 months of travel. I massively encourage you to stay if a relaxed vibe is what you are seeking. Thanks to Pat and the lovely staff for making my stay such a fabulous one and I wish you all the very best!

It’s a very nice and cosy house, close to a beautiful and less crowded part of the Barra da Lagoa beach. Very comfortable to spend a few calm days at the beach ☀️

The place felt just like home, not a conventional hostel. The views from the roof are amazing. The house is nice and chill during the hot summer days. Amazing big kitchen that has everything you need to cook your meals.

Patz Houz was one of the best hostels I've stayed at! perfect for a long term stay or for working from home. Location was perfect, in Barra da Lagoa. You can walk to the beach everyday. I loved that there was free breakfast, a rooftop, a coworking room. It felt like staying in a big house rather than a hostel, which I really liked for a longer stay. In addition, the dorm rooms were actually quite comfortable and I feel as though I could stay there for a long term stay even in a shared dorm. Beds were comfortable, there were curtains for privacy, and the other guests were not loud or disruptive at night, as it is not exactly a party hostel - so I got a good night's sleep each night. Also, everything was quite clean including the bathrooms. The hostel staff (Karina and Allan) were awesome and so fun to hang out with! I will definitely come back to stay.

Patz House is a dream come true. it feels like a home, the kitchen is amazing, the dorms feel like a cosy bedroom and everyone is so friendly. The four dogs are also beautiful and so cuddly and fun!

Breakfast was broad and varying compared to others, more like a little buffet.

This hostel is a home from home and used to be Patz’s home. It’s quirky but comfortable with lots of different areas to hang out in. Stayed in a super comfortable private room with en suite. The three dogs who live there are adorable. Patz put on a bbq one day which was really good.
