Overview
This eco-friendly, solar-powered hostel located 15 km from Florianópolis city centre boasts an outdoor pool and free WiFi in all areas. Conceição Lagoon is only 100 metres away from Geckos Hostel. Dormitory rooms feature furniture made with recycled wood, lockers, a balcony and a shared bathroom. Hostel facilities include a games room, BBQ area and a shared kitchen and lounge area with cable TV. Geckos Hostel is 18 km from Florianópolis International Airport (Hercílio Luz). Praia Mole Beach and Praia da Joaquina Beach can both be reached in 3 km.

“Great”
Super friendly place, the staffs are the best! Highly recommend. A nice area, chiller so not noisy at night, but also close to some restaurants and bars/clubs, and from a square that threw some pre-carnival events.

“Pleasant. Lovely people and great location.”
The property is really well located, next to a host of local amenities and right by the Lagoon. The staff are helpful and friendly. The common area amenities are great for socialising.

“The good, the bad and the ugly”
The staff was generally nice and helpful. The hostel has a great social vibe to it, with a combo pool and ping-pong table, plus a swimming pool, as well as a bar. There was a small market next door and a really nice fresh fruit and vegetable market less than 5-minute walk away.

“Great social hostel”
Very friendly staff with extensive cooking facilities. There was a great common area with books, a TV and a pool table which led to quite a social atmosphere. Location was great, neR to two supermarkets and with loads of trails either starting nearby or within a short bus ride away.

We had good experience on this book, the receptionists was really nice and informed a few tips about places to visit and etc. If you want to grab a beer or soda they have a bar also and they are very receptive. Totally recommeded.

A member of the staff decided to think on my behalf, and decide that I am an introvert who likes calm places. Never asked for her tip but when such advice is based on a negative assumption it is insulting. Keep an open mind about your guests.
