“Wonderful escape from Flores”

It was so quiet and beautiful with all the nature around. The staff was wonderful and always available per WhatsApp. We really enjoyed our stay there especially with the house dog Mowgli. You can always take something to drink or just relax in the hammocks upstairs. The room was better than the pictures and very clean. We even stayed longer because we loved it so much.

Loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Peaceful atmosphere, good AC/fan, good meals but most of all, Peter, Eric and Brenda are fantastic people - super friendly and help you any time you need it.

Everything was perfect. Highly recommend it. Great team, food and stay. The best place in my entire trip. Cute dogs!

Eric was outstanding and nothing was too much him, he organised all of our tours and boats across to Flores. We loved the location away from the centre of Flores but just a quick boat ride away.

It was a really well looked after hotel with great employees. Situated in San Miguel with a nice view of the lake. Great food and lots of help sorting out excursions.

“Peaceful location, lovely hotel”

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel. We liked the fact it was not in Flores but very easy to get there. The views were stunning overlooking Flores. The room was a good size with enough shelves to put all our stuff on and the bed was very comfortable. I particularly enjoyed walking in the woods behind the property with Mowgli the hotel dog! The breakfast was good value and delicious. Would recommend hiring kayaks from Hostel Adra to explore the lake.

The place is simply wonderful: in an amazing location, away from all the noise on Flores island, but only a 3-minute boat ride away from there. The rooms are clean, spatious and charming. As for the staff, they will do anything possible to make your stay pleasant. And then of course there is Erick, the man who will organize everything for you, from the amenities of your room to your excursions to the ruins. Zapote Tree Inn immensely exceeded my expectations.

We had an amazing stay. The staff was adorable and very helpful. We loved our slow mornings and evenings at the pool or on the terrasse, watching the amazing view over Flores island.

“Pretty hotel, good room but a little noisy”

Hotel was pretty with great views and lovely places to sit. Staff were helpful and pick up from airport was seamless. Good breakfast

Great location with views of Flores, walks to an archeological site, cafe and in the jungle. Excellent communication from host with plenty of useful information. Food was excellent and the terrace and pool were great.

Really relaxing stay. Great spaces with a view and hammocks. Easy accessible to the island but enjoyed this side more!

amazing stay, the hotel is beautiful. Staff are incredible nice, they give good informations about the area and they are available every time if you have questions. The room is clean and nice, bathroom is very nice as well. They provide breakfast, lunch or dinner for extra. Food is good and for a reasonable price. There are fridges in the kitchen area where you can take what you want for extra as well, pretty cheap. The rooftop terrace is calm. swimming pool is clean and refreshing. After check out you can leave the luggages and stay the day at the pool which is amazing. Highly recommend this hotel

Peter was very friendly. Showed us around and was there to help out for any requests! When arriving/leaving they will bring you to Isla de flores for free!

Lovely clean relaxed place with an eye for detail. Well taken care of garden with humming birds amazing view. Hot showers that actually work.

“Tropical forest paradise”

GREAT FOR NATURE LOVERS AND FAMILIES. We were there with a 4 and 6 yr old. We enjoyed having Mogli (dog) lead us on the trails/road behind Zapote. So much to explore on this side! Ruins being unearthed, great swimming beach, Mirador, a few restaurants and tiendas for snacks etc. Pool just rught to cool off in. Trees all around. Hammocks on rooftop patio. Feels more local on this side. In main shopping area with 2 tiendas there is a guys who makes yummy burritos etc in the evening (5Q each). Way better than Flores for us. (Which is also under water right now all around the perimeter, noisier and hotter as it takes a while for the concrete to cool in the evening). Getting a ride back and forth takes 5 mins, is fun and costs only 10Q each. Initial ride to and and final from Zapote free. Hosts only need 10 mins notice and can give ride/pick up. Erick and Noelle are Guatemalan, super nice and really hustle for their guests. Bed might be a bit firmer for some. Air conditioning and fans in the room. No kitchen but tasty breakfast for 50Q. Some days we split it, good size.

“Amazing staff and views”

Wow. Eric, Noah and Brenda made sure every last detail was taken care of for me. Tikal, transportation to my next destination, ride from the airport and water taxis, all just taken care of. I didn't have to organise a thing, they just made it happen. Even the hotel dog Mowgly was a absolute sweetheart. The rooms are basic and clean, and well ventilated, but it's the outside that shines. A bit like a treehouse, with several levels to enjoy the view of Flores just a few minutes by water taxi across the beautiful lake.

Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Private bathroom was great. Wifi works well. There are nice dogs as well, and some howler monkeys in the morning (bring earplugs though). The roof terrace was very chill and sunny. Location was outside of Flores, but the boat was there within 5-15 minutes.
