Overview
Just 300 metres from Florence Cathedral, Hotel Pendini overlooks Piazza della Repubblica square. All rooms are air conditioned and offer satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. This family-run hotel dates back to 1879 and features antique furnishings and frescoes. A continental breakfast buffet is served everyday from 07:30 until 10:00, and the bar is open until 23:00. The Pendini is well located for Florence's historic sights, including the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio, just a 2-minute walk away. “Like an aristocrat”
The breakfast was not extraordinary, but it was varied and sufficient. However, the atmosphere of the hotel was unforgettable. The room was very spacious and airy. The design of both the rooms and the hotel made you feel like an aristocrat from another era. The staff were polite and helpful. The location was one of the most central you could possibly find. If we visit Florence again, we will choose our travel dates based on Hotel Pendini’s availability.

“Perfect Pendini once again”
This is our 3rd stay over a 10 year period and it is always a delight to stay here. There have been improvements over the years with the addition of tea, coffee, water and biscuits in the lounge area which is a great idea and Acqua dell Elba products in the bathroom. We opt for the smaller internal facing rooms and they are a standard European size so on the small side but perfectly appointed and a window you can open so lots of natural light. The Piazza facing rooms are much larger and beautiful but can be noisy and obviously cost more. 3 nights in the smaller room is fine for us plus you have the lounge area. The shower is compact but that is to be expected. Having breakfast included in the price is great and it’s a lovely room to start the day in and the staff are wonderful. The location is excellent and whilst it’s not cheap there are plenty of more expensive places around. We love it here.

Perfect location, right in the heart of the city. This hotel is a jewel in all aspects. The building, our room was spotless and huge, wonderful breakfast, staff was attentive and kind. We would stay there again.
