Sophie, the owner couldn't do anything more to feel welcome. She went above and beyond. The car was safe and secure behind locked gates. The breakfast was amazing, we were encouraged to take anything we didn't eat with us. It lasted us until we arrived home 8 hours later. Will definitely be staying again the next time we're heading that way.

“A memorable and lovely stay in a beautiful house”

Sophie was a very hospitable host. She made us very welcome and helped us with recommendations and restaurant bookings. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The house and rooms are beautiful. Breakfasts were wonderful, with scrambled eggs from Sophie's hens, and home made cakes. We were able to do a lovely cycle ride from Villa Henri to St Quentin and back, with most of the route along canal-side paths rather than roads.

Sophie provides an excellent cottage and fantastic breakfast and is a lovely friendly host. Second stay, and will be back.

The room was cold. The bathroom had no heating and the shower didn't work properly. The garden is not lit so had to use my phone to find our way at night. The entrance hall is not lit either.

Sophie is charming . She looked after us very well, recommending a restaurant which was excellent. The breakfast was excellent and well thought out. It is, however, Sophie herself, which makes the difference with her friendly and helpful manner. We hope to stay again.

“Lovely”

I spent three nights at Villa Henri with my boyfriend, my cat and my dog. We stayed in the apartment, not in one of the rooms, and we had a great time. The apartment is very cozy and equipped with everything you need (even salt, oil etc in case you want to cook). It overlooks a garden where you can chill or have your meals (the breakfast is very filling!). The owner, Sophie, is such a lovely person. She gave us tips on where to eat or take a stroll and easily accommodate my dietary restrictions, even if I gave her little notice. Her dog, Jackpot, is the cutest and very friendly. We would have loved to stay longer!

Sophie ! She is warm and welcoming and a wonderful hostess . The villa is beautiful . It had everything we needed and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful ! Our dog loved having the garden to roam around in .. a first in our long journey staying at lots of hotels in different countries .

Our hostess Sophie was so warm and friendly, our room was very spacious and comfortable. Both of us and our young dog felt very welcome in Villa Henri. The garden was perfect for letting our dog have a sniff around and there were great fields for walking just 10-15mins walk from the villa. Parking on site was very handy - just ring the doorbell at the front gates and you will be guided on where to park. The breakfast was a huge delight, the best breakfast we had on our 1 week road trip. Sophie took so much care in ensuring we were comfortable, as well as well fed! It was a real pleasure to be able to spend some time chatting with her over breakfast, learning about how Villa Henri came to be. What made this stay so special was the kind hospitality we received, it has made this such a memorable stay. We will be recommending Villa Henri to friends and family visiting the area, and anyone considering staying at Villa Henri will be in the best hands.
