Turned up to the apartments, everything a lot more run down then the photos suggest. The host comes into the property and won’t leave, demanding money upfront. They then asked for over 200 dollars extra for various “commissions” and spurious taxes that don’t apply to any other place on the island. My girlfriend just completed rowing across the ocean so I wanted to spoil her with a bath. It didn’t have a plug, hot water was intermittent, and the water came out rusty. The beds have no support in the middle so you just sink. Lots of amateur fix up jobs all over the places with exposed wires and dodgy fixes. Not to mention that after getting back at night, the power wasn’t working. Worst experience ever.
