A very welcome and totally unexpected free upgrade from the Bastimento to the Mathis. Loved it. The staff were really friendly and professional, the room was big, the two beds were very large and very comfortable, the shower excellent, the taps of free fresh and fizzy water a treat on a sunny 32 degrees day. We felt truly spoilt, thank you.

“Great stay - I will return every time in town.”
Main hotel (Mathis) has a restaurant. Train station (Fiorenzuola) and local bus stops are within 10m walk. Bar opposite the Bastimento front door opens 7am. Interior is neat and very clean. Also shower was spotless and large enough for 2 persons actually.

It's an old hotel which is actually closed and the rooms are managed by Matis hotel nearby, where checkin and optional breakfast take place. The road where the hotel is located is quite and there are nice bars and restaurants at its doorstep.

I got what it was proposed to be: Low prize with essential comfort. The owner runs nearby another Hotel "Mathis" with a cozy restaurant. If you're just looking for sleeping well and eating tasty dishes that's the right choice. I'll come back.
