“fabulous location for a relaxing family holiday”

back deck was fab, kitchen open plan was great, fans in each room great, air con also. instruction manual would be an added benefit.

“Deceiving”

From the pictures online, this place looks like an amazing retro oasis that looked like it was going to be a classy urban escape for a few nights. However upon arrival, I discovered that the place is far from the relaxing retreat I expected. Firstly we crunched through the dead frangipani leaves that had been collecting over the weeks since it was last maintained. Opened the door to a stale smelling house that hadn’t been aired in weeks. Walked through the house to the backyard that had grass up to my knees, our urban retreat turned into a jungle one from weeks of no maintenance. They sent someone to mow the lawn the next day. If you fancy a cool drink the Bar fridge outside is a warm 25 degrees, could maybe be cooler if it worked. Did you know this place comes with a pool!! Hidden from the advertising, but sitting at 25x25cm you might be able to get one foot in. It was installed a while ago (see pictures). Wifi is not included in the package- so no Netflix, welcome back to 2008. Linen and towels are not included, for $600 a night I expected this would be standard, but I would have brought the wrong linen anyway because one of the advertised queens is clearly a double. No basic items like soap, tea towels, tea/coffee or milk, so off to the overpriced corner store to spend exorbitant amounts on basics. No block out curtains/blinds on the only room that gets the early morning sun (the master). The other rooms you get blinds thankfully, as a bonus they are coated in a thick layer of black mould/dust, but it’s ok you can just open them up to look out the cloudy window that was last cleaned in 2020. Safe to say, the best thing about this place, was the real estate agent, who was so very accommodating and lovely about the state of the place.

“Two thumbs up!”

This house was a lot more stunning than it seemed in the pictures.Very modern and very chic. The deck and the huge backyard were our favourites. There was even a small sandpit, which the kids loved. The kitchen was one of the most well-stocked I've ever seen. Lots of board games, Netflix and Disney made sure no-one was bored during one of the rainy days. Ideal location - a very short walk to the white sandy beach of Fingal Bay and a convenience store just across the road. The dealing with Winning Holidays was also very smooth. I would love to return in the summers!
