“Wonderful place to experience rural Colombia”

I loved absolutely everything about Rancho Ventura! Such a beautiful place. David and Natali are amazing hosts who love to share their farm and many experiences with their guests. The room was simple but had everything you need. The bed is very comfortable and the room ensuite bathroom with warm shower fine. I loved to spend some time on the observation deck or talking to the hosts. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and eggs from the farm. It doesn’t get much better than this! This is an actual farm with animals and - very friendly - dogs. It‘s less than a 20-minute drive from Filandia, the last 2km on an unpaved road that is easily manageable, even for small cars.

“Beautiful finca, within easy reach of Filandia and a lovely breakfast”

The finca was very beautiful, the breakfast was one of the most delicious we've had in a hotel with eggs from the farm. The dogs were very nice. David and Natali were very friendly. You can hitch hike or walk to the main road in about 20 mins and then get a regular bus to Filandia from there. You can also get a jeep to the finca for 30k.

“A Magical Countryside Experience- not to Be Missed”

This is not just a hotel – it's a warm, welcoming family farm. The hosts, David and Nathalie, are incredibly kind and made us feel at home from the very first moment. The place is filled with life: 8 super friendly dogs, cows (their fresh milk and homemade cheese are served at breakfast), chickens (providing the morning eggs), rabbits, ducks, and even horses. David and Natalie have created an incredible experience in Filandia. Their guesthouse and finca is beautiful and perfectly located. Even more special was the warm welcome and atmosphere from the moment we arrived. They are very knowledgeable in the area, its culture, history and what to do. Highly recommend!

“Paradise”

This property is a real gem! We had an absolutely amazing time from starting to finish. Nata and David are two beautiful people and made us feeling at home. They took care of us for the entire stay giving us advices to explore the beautiful surroundings. The room was super clean and very spacious and Nata made for us delicous breakfast and dinner. The best Colombian food so far and the best coffee and fresh milked milk directly from their cows. The landscape around the property is lovely and surrounded by loving dogs, cats, horses, one pig, cows, ducks and cickens. We wanted to stay there longer but unfortunately our trip was coming to an end. After 6 months of traveling we couldn't have asked for anything better. If you want to breathe positive energy, this is the right place. Thank you Nata and David, We hope to come back soon one day.

“Highly recommend staying at this beautiful place surrounded by nature :)”

We had a wonderful stay at Rancho Ventura! It was definitely one of our favorite stays on our whole colombia trip! Nata & David are tremendously accommodating and will help with any questions ! Additionally if you have a heart for animals we would highly recommend it - all the dogs have a place in our heart even after just two days. The Finca is about a 10‘ jeep ride from filandia itself but it was never a problem to commute. There is a public transport (a jeep that comes by every now and then) that will take you to city center. If you have another area you need to go to (in our case for ex airport) it is no problem to arrange it through the hosts. The dinners at the finca were excellent - all the meals are super fresh with ingredients grom the farm itself or surrounding neighbors. The rooms are completely clean and very peaceful with the nature that is around the finca. We also enjoyed the hammocks that are on the terrace. Overall i can highly recommend staying at this stay!

The place is perfectly secluded which is what you are looking for in a farm stay & David and Nata were the perfect hosts. The place even has a small mirador to enjoy your morning coffee on. Thank you for everything!

This farm in the heart of the Eje Cafetero, Colombia, completely stole my heart. 🌿✨ It’s a magical place where you can truly connect with nature and let go of all the stress and anxiety of daily life. David and Natalia, the incredible owners, have poured their hearts into creating a space that’s not just beautiful but makes every guest feel right at home. 🏡💚 Everyone deserves to experience this little slice of heaven at least once in their lifetime.

This is such a unique and beautiful place to stay in Filandia. The hosts David and Nata went out of their way to help us in anyway they could while making us feel so welcome and teaching us about the local culture and their amazing ongoing farming project. All The animals (+lots of cute cuddly dogs) were super friendly and chill, The breakfast was AMAZING- delicious fresh milk, butter and cheese from the farm and such generous portions. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay (the rooms were also so lovely and clean), thanks again David and Nata xxx

“A wonderful farm stay with great hosts with a lot of animals”

As said by many, David and Nata were genuinely great hosts, cooking delicious meals for us, showing us around the farm with all kinds of animals including refugee dogs and pig, booking tours for us, and sharing their life with us. After a stay in cities, this was an oasis for our souls; we had great sleep there. We hang around in the farm for a day, watching Nata milk cows and cook dinner, and reading a book in a hammock.

I loved how the family made you feel like apart of their family. My son really enjoyed all the animals and helping out on the farm. He didn't want to leave.

Great stay with a family of 5. Clean and quite with great vibes. Tons of animals for kids to play with. Hosts are friendly and attentive. Nice breakfast!

“A special experience sharing a farm family’s way of life.”

The location was rural but within 15 minutes of the town. The breakfast was delicious and special requests were accommodated. The family dedicates itself to making guests feel at home and sharing how they live. They could not have been kinder. Plus, lots of animals to interact with!

“Backpackers Relaxing Dream”

The Experience at Rancho Ventura was amazing, David and his family were so welcoming showing us around the Ranch and daily life there. We were also brought on this walk through a river on there property which was spectacular. For any fellow backpackers that are unsure about getting there, there's a local Willy jeep from Salento to Filandia (9000 COP one way, although if you're getting in late to Salento they could be sold out so just make sure not to get caught on that.) And then in Filandia there's a local Willy jeep that goes out to the road where the ranch is on. (3500 COP one way, photo with red circle is location). The local jeep runs every day making it easy to get into Filandia and explore.

“The best place to stay with the most amazing family, animals between the green hills of Filandia!”

This place really felt like my home away from home. Not only is the accommodation incredibly idyllic: the surroundings are beautiful, the animals are super cute but above all Natta, Luis and David who run the place are the most kind and warm people you will ever meet! You will become part of the family as they will take such good care of their guests. Its an amazing place to relax, enjoy the views, and its easy to take a Jeep (Willy’s) if you want to visit the town. You have the chance to really enjoy and discover life on a finca: including milking the cows, feeding all the animals and a lot of hugging with the dogs! I can not recommend this place more! Thank you for making my stay so incredible here!
