Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom and general facilities could do with a spruce up but were acceptable for a hostel. Breakfast was excellent

Not far from the bus station for an overnight stay. Basic but clean.

“Pleasant stay in Fes”

This is one of the best budget places where I have stayed in Morocco. Unlike the dark and stuffy riads, you can open the window in your room and get some light and fresh air. I also enjoyed sitting in the salon. The breakfast is good and you get a whole pot of coffee and another pot of hot milk (as long as they know that you would like to have coffee for breakfast). The hostel is within walking distance from the Burj Fes shopping centre with a huge Carrefour supermarket downstairs. If you want to go to the medina, you go to the Rex taxistand (near Masjid Tunisia) and take a red taxi collectif to Botha, which is near the Bab Boujlod (Blue Gate?). Coming back you take a taxi collectif from Botha to Rex, or ask the driver to drop you off at the Total petrol station on Chefchaouni Avenue. The fare is 5 dirham one way. You can get further directions from Fatima in the reception.

My stay at Youth Hostel fez was phenomenon , the place is very quite and comfortable, the bedroom was very comfy , the staff there Abdellah & Fatima Zahrae were an incredible hosts , they made sure i had an excellent stay , they even provided me with informations about the city and places to eat , i will definitely come back again .

Lovely hosts. Good breakfast. Quiet location. Near to the main avenue, with a shopping mall, cafes, etc. Towel provided. Wifi in most areas.

The hostel is well located, not far from the train station. There is a big shopping mall in a walking distance, also some cafés. The management is super nice and kind. Didn't expect much and I got that, a short stay for two nights worth.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Best hotel in Fez!!

The breakfast was fine, good coffee and a good egg. The location was also good. I had 3 blankets which was great because there was no heating in the room, and it was very cold. The people who worked there were nice

Humble traditional house with typical Moroccan-tiled court yard and rooms. A breakfast is served every morning.

Very nice staff, the room was fine. Breakfast was good, it seemed like I was the only one in the hostel. The location is good located in the new town, very safe in the evening to walk alone.

I liked the room itself because you got clean bedsheets and it was clean (which isn't always the case in moroccain hotels in my experience). The washing facilities are also alright. The standard in Morocco from my experience is different then what you have in Germany of course (even though I don't know hostels so well in Germany). So I think unexperienced travellers shouldn't be too weirded out with the arrangement and style of those locations. You had warm water, enough privacy and I got clean. Maybe the shower head could use an upgrade but that is it. You got a free large towel to use from the host so that is really nice! The host was incredibly friendly. She took care that the shuttle service would surely pick you up and was available for any concernes and tried to acommodate what she could. She also send a message on whatsapp so talking over internet was easy. Sadly, I can't say anything about the breakfast since I didn't stay the night which was a last minute change of plans. She was very obliging to that aswell, even though I could have caused her trouble with the police with that (adress specification and all). We found a way. If you get the shuttle from the airport, try exchanging some money after landing at the exchange booth or find an ATM at the airport, because the guy will be payed by cash and I think it eradicates struggle if you can just pay him immediately. It was 20 Euros, so like around 200 Dirham (maybe a little more depending). Which I believe is a good thing to use because you don't have to worry about finding a taxi and getting to the right location (normal Taxi will probably even be more expensive since it is a bit to drive. There is also the INDRIVE app like UBER but they are also cash and likely also more expensive + they aren't waiting at the airport already). The guy was also SUPER friendly and held up a sign with my name so he was easy to spot. He even carried my luggage...
