Casa Swell is a very comfortable and fun hostel. Staff is amazing and helpful. The location is good and it's a place to hang out with the other guests.

“Run Away!! Don't belive the photos!!!”

I booked a room for myself, they charged me as soon as I arrived and afterwards they showed me the room, wich was nothing like the photos announced on booking, the walls had humidity and lacked painting, it looked like it hasn't been taken care for years. There was no way of staying, as I informed the receptionist and informed booking right away and sended the photos of the room as it is. I had to stay at another place (picked one on booking) and I am still waiting (it's been 40 days since then) for my refund. I payed r$ 3.720 and booking at some point offered me an only r$558,00 cupom wich I didn't take because its an absurd offer. I am terribly dissapointed at this place (I asked them how could I send them my photos and didn't reply or bother to refund me) and I am very dissapointed at booking wich I thought I could trust.

We looooved being here! Great pleace, great people, good drinks! The location is perfect and the staff is speaking English - something we needed on the island. Even when we stayed at another hotel, we went back daily for a drink and just because we loved it.

The reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed anything, and the breakfast was good too if a little repetitive over a week. Nice location in the middle of everything. Cool back deck and hangout area at the front, kitchen acceptable for cooking.

I had a warmly welcomed from the very beginning. Despite being 15 minutes by walk from the beach, it's located 100 meters from the bus stop and that's crucial. Staff was receptive and gentle, room was cozy (actually I found the pillow kind of uncomfortable but I was so exhausted I didnt even care about it), breakfast was fine (don't miss tapioca) and the environment really friendly. I'd highly recommend the so accessible beers at night.

The staff is the best asset of that hostel, i have never received a more warm welcoming than this one.. everybody makes you feel extremely accommodated, they provide with all information you need, there is cheap beer, nice parties and gatherings too! special shout out to Renata, Joao and Leticia.

Casa swell was a wonderful place to stay. Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and helpful. Our rooms were comfortable and clean and had good AC. There were also many common areas where we had fun hanging out. The location is great - close to good restaurants and a few excellent beaches. We highly recommend Casa Swell!

Location - Great, just 1 minutes walk to bus station Breakfast - Simple but good breakfast. You may eat as much as you ordered for free. Staff - Super friendly and helpful. Excellent introduction for the whole hostel's facilities when check-in. Staff helps with tour booking whichever fits you. Atmosphere - Excellent vibes here! Super easy to make new friends. You won't be alone if you're solo traveller. Room - Super clean. They make up room everyday and give you clean new tower.

“Fantastic and social hostel”

Casa Swell was a fantastic hostel with a social vibe. The female dorm has its own ensuite and is good but small, there is not a lot of floor space. The spacious lockers in the room provide some storage space, but this is again scant in the room bathroom. The common areas of the hostel are great, with a nice kitchen, front porch area and back deck. There were many solo travelers, as well as smaller groups in the hostel, which made it a great place to travel solo. Location is good, around 15 minute walk from the town center with a supermarket right in front of it. The staff is great and will be able to arrange most tours or activities in the island. I would have however appreciated a message pre-arrival detailing how treks in the island need to be pre-book, preferably a few days before arrival. I would come and stay and this hostel again without question!

Everyone was completely and utterly totally awesome! The vibe at the hostel is SO SO good! Luis, Karina and Jeff are awesome team members and they really made my stay exceptional! They are incredibly helpful and so much fun! The breakfast was great in the morning and lots of socialising in the evening! Highly, highly recommended!! I will definitely be back!
