“Welcoming Inn by the riverside”

Nice little inn located 2 min by foot from the river side. The staff was extremely friendly welcoming. Breakfast was good for our taste, although it was home made on the spot and composed mainly of Chinese food, something to be taken into account if you are looking for a lot of options or for a western breakfast.

The hospitality of the staff, they are very kind. Also really nice breakfast. Nice location in the heart of ancient town, maybe not easy to find with navigator but staff is really helpful and make sure you have a smooth stay

Because the Phoenix trip happened to be rained when I arrived, the hostel owner waited for me by the side of the road in advance, and left an umbrella for me. On the way to the hostel, he repeatedly told me to be careful of slippery roads. In the evening, I specially made ginger soup to let me pay more attention to my health. Traveling abroad, living in Yunlu Mountain, I feel the warmth of home, which makes me feel very kind to this city. Staying in Yunlu Mountain is the warmest thing of my trip!

So happy about our stay at Dream in Fenghuang and we would definitely come back again. The hospitality of the owner 11/10 :) Everything was well arranged from pick-up to drop-off. Upon arrival, we were met at the taxi drop-off and personally guided to the hotel. We were welcomed with fresh fruits, cold water. Breakfast was delicious. The location is great just a few steps away from the busy side of the river. Traveling through Hunan province we stayed at few hotels, but this one with the genuine care made this stay so special. From the moment I booked the hotel even right upon my last moments in China, this hotel have been extremely accommodating and helpful. I came by myself, and they reassured my safety and looked after me so well. I never experienced such accommodating hosts before and I am so grateful for this opportunity. The hotel was very clean ans cosy, very nice bathroom and comfortable bed. I cannot recommend this place enough

“An amazing stay with amazing staff!”

THIS PROPERTY WAS AMAZING!!!!! What really made this property stand out was the staff. They were so nice and polite and helped us with everything we needed, even checking on us when we didn't arrive back after 23:00 like our parents haha. They cared so much. They brought us fresh fruit every day in the afternoon as well as water. The breakfast was also incredible. We ate local Hunan food which was yummy. The staff are what really made our stay here incredible. Oh, almost forgot to say that they even provided us with a small gift upon our departure.

This hotel has very good reviews, so I arrived with high expectations. There's no point in repeating what's already been written, I'll just say that it far exceeded expectations. Thanks to the wonderful staff.

“Highly recommended hotel in Fenghuang”

This is a very comfortable hotel in an excellent location - very near the river but quiet. Breakfast was substantial and delicious. The owners were exceptionally kind and helpful.

We never regretted booking with Dream in Fenghuang and we would definitely come back again. What we loved the most was the hospitality of the owner. Since we were all girls he kindly upgraded us to their best room without any additional fee 😊. Everything was well arranged from pick-up to drop-off at the train station. Because our train the next day was very early around 6 am he even packed eggs and fruits for us to take as breakfast. The location is also great just a few steps away from the busy and lively party side of the river. Overall I highly recommend this family hotel.

Everything was perfect.Large, clean and comfortable room.Great location close to main interest points but out of the most crowded part of the city. The nicest host we met in two weeks in China: they received us with a welcome snack and had a great time with them.Breakfast was amazing,really good. Last but not least they arranged the pick-up and drop from the train station and the drivers were duly on time.

Family-run, they were super nice from arrival to departure. Rooms are spotless.

I happened to twist my ankle while carrying my suitcase, and without hesitation, he rushed to get anti-inflammatory spray and soothing patches to help me feel better. That level of care was truly touching. The next morning, he prepared a delicious breakfast for us, arranged our airport transport, and once again helped with our luggage. As we were leaving, he surprised us with a small gift—a thoughtful gesture that perfectly captured the kindness we experienced throughout our stay. After three weeks traveling through China and staying at several five-star hotels, this humble homestay outshone them all.
