The woman from the desk was very kind and helpful with everything. She gave me a small gift when checking-in and guided me where to take the bus to the railway when checking-out. The room was cleaned, the AC heater worked well and the location was good!

The hostel was good but a bit hard to find at night. The hostel is two kilometres from the public bus stop in Fenghuang. Take a taxi, which is quite cheap. The young lady was very helpful. Unfortunately the communication was difficult due to her poor English. It is a five minute walk to the ancient city. There is a public bus from Huaihua train station to Fenghuang. The journey takes an hour and costs about 5 USD. On the way back to Huaihua I took a shared taxi for about 80 yuan. I can recommend taking a taxi. The driver passes through villages and avoids the highway to pick up more passenger. Many thanks for the kindness of the young lady. I can recommend the 166Inn. I was there from January 17th to January 19th.

The location is perfect, very close to the old town. The staff was very nice and kind, they recieved me with jelly candy, which was delicious and a very warm gesture. They provided me with a map, also.

very helpful and friendly hosts. They gave great recommendations of where to go. They sell fantastic ginger candy in their sop on ground floor ..and gave us free gifts. Situated in old town. so lovely to have smiling happy people when we return from day out. It is simple accommodation but we loved it.

Very well located. Just 5 minutes far from the bus stop where you drop off when coming from Railway Station. Less than. 5 minutes far from the river where you can start to enjoy the views. Hosters very kind and with a smile in their faces all the time.They solved me a lot of questions as I had a problem booking train tickets. Room clean and confortable.I would say that is the perfect place for you stay in Fenghuang.

The couple running this place would have to be the friendliest people to work in hospitality, so helpful and kind. The location is perfect.

“I would definitely recommend this property to anybody visiting Fenghuang”

The owners were so friendly and helpful. There were lots of nice touches such as little gifts like fruit and flowers and even sweets from their downstairs shop. We are on a cycling tour and they let us store all five bikes inside the hotel and even carried them upstairs for us! The hotel was a two minute walk from the best viewpoints of the ancient city.
