We loved the dinner and breakfast. The tea ceremony was magical. We thought the view and location were great for exploring the Alishan area.

This place is definitely for tea lovers. You stay in the middle of a tea farm close to a tea factory. The host offers a traditional tea ceremony and gives you a tour of the tea factory. He is open to answer all of your questions. The room is brand new and neatly clean. The stay also includes a tasty breakfast with freshly brewed tea straight from the factory.

I loved everything about this place! The room was cozy and the bed was super comfortable.The shower had good pressure and there was even heating in the bathroom. The homemade food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent, the best I had so far in Taiwan. Do not hesitate to book dinner if her mum is available to cook! The location is outstanding, overlooking the tea plantations. It is quiet and yet, it is less than 10min' walk from the city center/bus station (there is a shortcut through the plantation, the host will show you). One of the trails (mist ou cloud trail) starts a few minutes away from the guesthouse. The communication with the hosts was good (via Line) and the tea ceremony was very interesting, make time for it!

Their breakfast is good, and their tea ceremony is very interesting and nice, with a very knowledgeable person answering all our questions. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. I needed to go to the pharmacy in the small town. They offered to take me there and helped.

“Tea and hospitality in the hills”

Wonderful small guest house in the middle of a tea plantation. Very quiet, great view (also means: strolling around involves steep hills), wonderfull breakfast, and supportive and welcoming hosts who pic you up and bring you back to the bus stop or nearest station. Additional surprise was a Taiwanese tea ceremony that allowed for tasting of the homegrown tea. Would definitely stay again.

Loved our stay here! Nice simple accommodation, in a beautiful setting. The location is fantastic - you are about a five to ten minute walk from the main town, so very easy to get food and get around the area from there. The hotel is located right on some really lovely trails (Mist trail, tea trail, and cloud trail). You can walk these trails in about 2 hours. The trails were so nice we didn't feel we even had to bother going to Alishan! Staff lovely and helpful - they picked us up from town and dropped us off. You can do a tea ceremony here - it is in the morning after breakfast. They informed us about trails and things to do nearby. The farm is owned by a family who started growing tea back when the government encouraged the Alishan surrounding area as a tea growing region. It has stayed in the family and they can inform you about tea and the different types grown if you ask. Breakfast was lovely - probably the nicest we had in Taiwan. Overall staying here was a highlight of my Taiwan trip!

The host picked us up at the bus stop and could speak good English. It is also quite close to the town on foot. They offer a tea ceremony which we unfortunately didn't take part in because of time. And the breakfast was delicious.

“Wonderful experience at a tea plantation”

Absolutely wonderful place! The room is modern, spotless clean, and has everything you need. The bed is very comfy and the A/C works great. Location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop and also very close to the sunset lookout and the start of some of the popular trails. The included breakfast was delicious and the tea ceremony was great. I can't recommend this place enough!

“Top location, but improvements of facilities needed”

Really great location on the tea plantation, tea ceremony, amazing breakfast with a fantastic view on the surrounding hills, close to hiking trails, easy to get to by bus from Chiayi and Alishan alike, with 10 min walk uphill - but the host can pick you up by car from the bus stop.

The location, interior design, food and tea tasting was great

Room was clean and comfortable, and the location is close to the hiking trails, and convenient to reach the town area. They offer a pick-up and drop-off to the bus stop, which is great especially if you have more baggage (the stairs and slopes are no joke). They also offered an excellent tea sampling and introduced the history of the region. Breakfast was great to start the day with, and the (extra, paid) dinner was super filling. You can easily reach dinner options in the town area as well.

“Amazing view, close by many trails along tea plantations”

The view was top notch. The location of the place is superb with nothing blocking the view so it’s open view for tea plantation with mountains in the background. We enjoyed the view very much. Breakfast was really nice and homey. We booked breakfast for both mornings but we changed our plans last minute to leave early on the second day so we let them know about our plans and they were considerate enough to give us a refund for one breakfast which we appreciate. Tea tasting session was also good addition to our stay especially for those who are tea heads! They use tea leaves from their own farm. Though on the day we had it the person who runs English session wasn’t available so they used a translator to explain things to us, we did enjoy the session anyway and appreciate that they try to explain things.
