This is a simple, yet very sweet home-stay! If you like to stay away from the mass tourism of Alishan, this place is the best! Yes, the facilities are simple, and the it requires more planning and in terms of how to get to and from. But The location and view from the house are breathtaking, and there is peace you can’t find anywhere else! The family is charming and very helpful, and will help you get to Alishan recreation forest if you need. Communication was smooth. I highly recommend!

Food is good. Sandwich wasn't that great but the pastries were good. Tea was a little disappointing but I don't think it's bad. We just preferred stronger teas.

Cooking is allowed at the space, Staff was helpful and friendly, room was clean and bed had heating sheets.

The room was comfortable and clean, as so was the whole guesthouse. It’s beautifully situated by a tea plantation. It’s a picturesque and quiet place.

Great location if you’re looking for a quiet mountain retreat. Super nice stuff. The facilities and the room are simple and a but outdated but enough for a two night stay for us. The owner kindly drove us a couple of times down and up to and from the town bus station as the walk up is picturesque but one needs 45min. The best part of the stay was how close it was to all of the hiking trails.

Simple but nice place to stay at right next to the Tea Trail. It's about a 30 minute walk to town which I didn't find too bad, and the hosts were helpful with pick-up and drop-off against a small fee. They don't speak any English but communication through translation was still really easy.

A great place for hiking, as there is a hike just outside of the place. You stay in a (pretty rundown and inactive) tea farm and there was a tea plantation just outside of the room.

The view is nice, i did enjoy my 2 nights stayed. The lady owner is a very kind and nice person. The room also provides hot water and water dispensers.

The location is perfect, up on the hill between all the beautiful trails and with the most amazing view! The room was super clean and comfortable. The hosts were very kind and picked me up from the bus station. They also upgraded my room to 4-people room instead of the single room I booked. As a solo female traveler with no car, I was first worried about the location, thinking it will be difficult to arrive and to get food, but if you already planning to travel in Shizhao trails, you are going to get there anyhow, and then get to stay in the most beautiful spot that also allows you to watch the sunset with no need to go down the hill while it’s get dark. About the food- the place offers a big outdoor kitchen where plenty of families can cook, and they also sell toasts and other snacks all day. Nearby on the hill there is also a restaurant. They both have vegetarian options. So I just stayed a whole day between the trails with no going back down to the area of the bus station. I really loved this place

Very good location with immediate access to viewpoints, sunset spots, and trail entrances. The room was clean, and there was a supply of hot water for drinking.

Everything was perfect except the lack of towels. It is a very strange concept of bathroom without towels.

The owner was very friendly and sweet. The view is incredible from the property!

The place is surrounded by tea fields. It has a nice terrace. The owner gave us tea bags and there are tea sets to use in the kitchen which was nice experience. A lot of parking lots and close to the tea and mist trails.

The high location amongst the tea plantations with great views left and right. The hot water was plentiful and of good pressure.

Great location overlooking tea plantations. Ideal spot to see beautiful sunset. The room is simple yet sufficient for what we need. The kitchen is pretty old but well-equipped for making or cooking simple meals. The landlady is kind and enthusiastic.
