This is a 100% family run business and the very owners and their parents are taking care of the guests and really going out of their way to make sure everyone has got what they need, are comfortable and at ease. We were introduced to many aspects of local culture, cuisine, customs and even an islanders card game which we played with other guests in the evenings. :)) On the first day we also have had a tour around the island to get our bearings and already explore a lot. Shai was teaching us about the plants and trees that cover the island. The food is freshly prepared and according to preferences. We loved curries that the owner's mother has prepared for us! You will have a chance to also try many types of fish. The patio of the property is lush with vibrant greenery and makes this property very unique.

Extravagant, with sandy beach to really feel like in an oasis. - You feel like you are in a big family. - Extremely good value for money! - Shai is the best cook in town. I only ate out once. Shai cooks fresh food and the portions are really generous. - The excursions are very well organised. I would recommend them to anyone. You could literally touch the sharks. The boat driver is relaxed. Maximum 6 people on the boat at a time! No mass tourism! Very nice! The barbecue evening was phenomenal... we fished like the locals do. You can also book private tours for two people for only $100. For four people, that's $25 per person for ONE trip. - Secret beach is perfect for snorkeling. We found everyday Turtles and small Sharks! It was wonderful, thank you Aiman and Shai. And Mama and Papa!

We were very lucky to learn so much about the culture thanks to local island tour and daily conversations with the owners, tried many unique local dishes prepared by Shai and Aiman’s mother as well as enjoyed the water excursions organized by the whole Corbin family. Corbin’s Guest House in Goidhoo is a cozy guesthouse with just 7 rooms, each featuring a unique authentic design. You feel like you’re staying with friends, not in a hotel. Hosts and Atmosphere Hosts Shay, Aymen, and their family welcomed us with music, fresh coconuts, and frangipani flower garlands, creating a warm island vibe right from arrival. They helped with everything—from excursions to little details, even offering their scooter to reach the beach and ready to bring food if we got hungry. The owner carves wooden figurines himself and is always ready to show them or lend a hand. There’s a small but cozy bar without alcohol for relaxed evenings. Island Tour The hosts organized a wonderful tour of the island itself, showing it with such love—including plant farms, goats, two lakes, and the beaches! Excursions Snorkeling on reefs with stingrays and big fish was unforgettable! Food Delicious breakfasts with fruits and dinners with fresh tuna and red snapper. I want to return to these hospitable hosts!

I stayed at The Corbin Guest House with my two children, and from the very first moment we arrived, we felt as if we were visiting family. We were welcomed with such warmth and kindness that it immediately set the tone for our entire stay. We’ve stayed in many places before, but nowhere have we ever been cared for the way we were here. The food was truly exceptional. Every meal was not only delicious but also prepared with so much love and attention. One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the island with our hosts. They even showed us the coconut crabs that come out at night, which was an unforgettable experience, especially for the kids. Shai also organized wonderful activities for the children, including clay modelling and painting. The guesthouse itself was spotless. You can really feel how much effort is put into maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the place. The peaceful and beautiful garden added to the charm and made it an ideal spot to relax. This wasn’t just another stay, it was an experience filled with warmth, joy and genuine connection. The Corbin Guest House has become one of our favourite places, and we truly can’t wait to return!

The guesthouse is small, clean, and beautifully maintained. The owners truly go out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and ensure a comfortable stay. On the day I arrived, the host helped arrange a speedboat transfer from the airport and even gave me a full tour of the island in his electric buggy. The rooms are spotless and cozy, with a wonderful fresh scent after cleaning. They have everything you might need: air conditioning, beach towels, tea and coffee, a hairdryer, and more. You can also order fresh, delicious meals for lunch or dinner. The beach is gorgeous and peaceful, with warm, clear water. It’s also quick and easy to visit the nearby islands of Fehendhoo and Fulhadhoo, both known for their stunning beaches and turquoise lagoons. I would be more than happy to recommend staying at The Corbin Guesthouse to my friends!

“Maldives paradise”

I would describe the place as delightful. As well as the family that takes care of it and has created this beauty. Not only the taste and closeness to nature in the guest house, but also the cuisine and the attitude towards me was such that I felt special. At the same time cozy and at home. And the island is wonderful. You can find everything on it that is on the postcards of the Maldives. Can walk for hours in the forest and visit different places, such as the freshwater lake, the Secret Beach or the Tourist Beach- Bikini.There is another beach with a wonderful sunset. The village has shops and friendly people. I would come back one day for more days and would choose Corbin and the people who are part of this guesthouse again.

We stayed at The Corbin for 9 nights and it was amazing!!! Shai and Aiman were so sweet, caring and did absolutely everything they could to make our stay feel like a dream. On our first day they greet us with flowers necklaces and then took us to tour of the island- genius idea! We went on 3 trips and each was perfect. Idyllic picnic beach, snorkeling, surfing among dolphins and watching manta rays- everything was perfect! We asked for many trips to be organized and they did everything they could to let us get to know the beautiful, local side of the Maldives. They even invited us to an evening barbecue on the beach with their family and other guests- an amazing experience. Shai is the best photographer, and catches every single moment of our journey. You can see the huge amount of work and heart that the family puts into creating this place. The place is quite small which adds to a family atmosphere. The rooms were cleaned every day, towels and bedding regularly changed. Everything was clean and the rooms were surrounded by beautiful plants that the owners' mother takes care of. An additional plus for the shower and hangers outside the rooms :). A great chef who prepared delicious food with the possibility of delivery to the bikini beach. As far as the bikini beach is concerned it is 10 minutes by bike (you can rent it for 5 dollars per day) from the guest house and looks like something out of this world and in addition it is empty (we were the only ones there, practically the whole trip). The island is quite small (800 inhabitants) which made us feel at home. A beautiful pitch and skatepark 3 minutes by bike. The shop literally 2 minutes on foot. Everything you may need was close. Everyone was always smiling and willing to help. Shai talks with sincere interest about life and culture on the island which helped us get to know it better. The owners did absolutely everything to make us remember this trip! You can really feel at home.

Wonderful Stay at The Corbin Guesthouse Our stay at The Corbin Guesthouse was amazing. The place is beautifully maintained, with a lovely garden and clean, comfortable rooms that are tidied daily. The family owners have put so much care into every detail, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Service was outstanding—every request was handled with kindness and efficiency. The owners even gave us a free tour around the island, sharing insights about local life. They were always friendly, supportive, and happy to chat. Overall, an excellent experience with exceptional hospitality. We would gladly return!

“Experience a real life of islanders and relax at secluded bikini beach of Goidhoo”

We have had an absolutely amazing time at The Corbin Guest House. The 103 room was coisy and spotless, with woody décor and crisp bed sheets. The property is like a little oasis in the heart of village: full of exotic plants (plants are cared of by owners' mum) and with shell and wood decor. The local breakfast was delicious mostly made of local fruits and fishes in traditional style. The guest house owners: Shaia and Ajman were attentive, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. They made us feel very welcome. Thanks to them and whole their family we have experienced an exceptional local culture adventure. It was beyond our expectations. We especially enjoyed common chat, local dance, fishing, we even were invited for a grandpa's birthday party. Obviously it is worth to visit Goidhoo for its enviromental attractions: here you may go to the exotic forest, visit local farmers' area, see how grow bananas or papayas. You may find great, secluded bikini beach with some crystal clear sea waters. Are you looking for sea waters attractions? Ask for manta and coral excursions, we loved it. In general we are very satisfied and I highly recommend you a real islanders' life experience in Maledives!
