“Amazing hotel!!!”

We liked everything. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff were amazing — very attentive to detail, cleaning throughout the day, refilling water, and changing the linen regularly. The view was incredible; waking up every morning and seeing the beautiful ocean was truly something special. The hotel offers many different activities, such as snorkeling, shark watching, manta watching, and much more. Another great feature is that they provide free bikes, SUP boards, and kayaks. We cycled every day to the other side of the island to enjoy the breathtaking Bikini Beach. The hotel also has its own restaurant with many food options, and the view from there is amazing, especially in the evening during dinner. Hands down, this was one of the best experiences we have ever had. I definitely recommend this place, the people, and the hotel. We will absolutely come back if we visit the island again in the future.

“Fantastic Hotel in Paradise, with outstanding service!”

Isla Retreat is a beautiful small boutique Hotel with a fantastic service quality. The Island is an absolute Paradise with very few tourists and lonely beaches. The Hotel provides free bicycles so you can reach the next bikini beach in around 5 minutes and the end of the island (with a big, pretty beach) in around 15 minutes. Alternatively you can take a SUP oder Kajak, also provided free of charge. There is a lot of equipment and other activities that are included. Other activities and excursions, such as swimming with sharks or Mantas, snorkeling with seaturtles and diving courses (also for complete beginners like me) are offered at a fair price. The service quality in general is outstanding and deserves a special shoutout: Romy is a very lovely roomboy, always wearing a smile and cleaning our room two times a day to our fullest satisfaction. Hassan is a very friendly manager, looking after our well-being 24/7 and showing us his favorite spots on the island (to stargaze for example). We were also lucky to meet the owner, Ismail. He is a unique person with a lot of experience and insights that he was willing to share with us. The hotel also contains a gym, a library and a game room. We were very excited about those... but never used them in the end, as the Island had so much to offer! Important Note: The transfer by speedboat takes around 1 3/4h from Male Airport and is operated by a third party (Atoll Cute, Costs: 57$ per way per person), 2 times a day.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful surroundings and thoughtfully designed interiors. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay special. Overall, a truly wonderful experience, and we sure come back again!

“I can recomend beautiful Fehendhoo Island and Isla Retreat to everybody”

This is a small boutique hotel. Very quiet and super clean. The manager Hassan keeps everything very well organized and we could count on him in any issue. The hotel organizes boat trips to many beautiful places around, and have a very good famous dive center Fyna Divers - well equipped (everyhing is new, clean and working) and fully proffessional - special thanks to our divemaster Sofwan and Andy. The restaurant is nice - they serve good, fresh and tasty food. All personel was nice and friendly to us. We were honestly very happy that we found this hotel.

“Fantastic stay in beautiful place”

A fantastic stay at the beautiful Isla Retreat. The interiors are impressive, with a calm atmosphere and tasteful design. The guesthouse is very peaceful, which makes it a perfect place to truly relax. There were free SUP boards and kayaks available on site, and it was also possible to rent equipment for diving, snorkeling, and other water activities, as well as organize additional paid trips. Although the breakfasts were not very varied, they were served as a buffet, so everyone could easily find something they liked. The restaurant served very good fish and other local dishes. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A huge advantage of this place is the additional amenities and activities available, such as a small library, a gym, billiards, table tennis, and even a telescope for stargazing at night.

An absolute gem! 11/10 experience in a local island in Maldives! Big thank you to all the staff in the Isla Retreat for making our stay so magical. We came for 3 nights and wished we could stay for another week. The hotel provides an absolute relaxation and a sense of peace. They provide free bicycles to explore the island, boat tours and scuba diving, there is Ana amazing restaurant on the rooftop and every single room is esthetically pleasing and comforting. We were planning on only having breakfasts there, but ended up coming for every meal because it was great! The guys working there are very charming and welcoming. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone! Hoping to come back someday!

“Paradise hotel”

Everything was amazing. The room exceeded our expectations, the view was stunning, and the beach was right nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Maldives.

Beautiful hotel - everything new and clean, incredibly friendly staff, excellent food in the restaurant (at reasonable prices), beautiful sea view from the restaurant terrace.

Everything was perfect! Delicious food, reasonably priced. Dinner under the stars. Friendly, smiling, and helpful staff, led by Chef Hassan. Twice-daily cleaning and toothbrush refills. Very comfortable beds (please provide the name of the mattress used at the hotel :) ). Fantastic turtle trip, and we also spotted dolphins (experience is helpful – high waves). The nearest Bikini Beach is about 800m away, the best one about 1.5km away (the hotel offers free bikes – condition varies, but they are helpful). There is 100m away shop with some base products.

The Hotel was beautiful. It was fun that they have a ping pong table and a billiard table. The Manager Hassan was always responding within minutes and helping us out. The beds were comfotable and the food tasty.

“A unique public island experience!”

Real Maldives experience unlike artificial resorts. The place is luxurious with all amenities, electronic conveniences, a wonderful kitchen/rooftop restaurant with authentic cuisines. Perfect for families with kids as there are plenty of indoor activities. Being a public island there is life as it goes in a remote island to witness local culture and hospitality. The beaches are endless all over and beautiful as well.

“Absolutely great experience on local island”

Our goal was to experience both the Maldives and a local island, and this hotel was perfectly suited for that. It offers everything you need for relaxation as well as activities. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The island is beautiful and not crowded with tourists, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely return to Isla Retreat.

Very large, clean and cozy room with beach and sea view. Breakfast and dinner are served on the big and nice rooftop. You can borrow bikes for free to ride to the bikini beach.

Food was better than I expected. The retreat also exceeded my expectations with service and cleanliness. I do not think there is anything that I did not like. Being able to mix with the locals made it an amazing experience.

Isla Retreat is an amazing place. If you really want to relax, be close to nature, have the ocean right at your fingertips, yet not give up the comfort of a well-equipped and well-managed hotel — you’ve found the perfect spot! Everything here is top-notch; the staff are incredible — kind, smiling, and always ready to help with anything you need. The place is wonderfully quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by lush greenery. The food at the restaurant is also delicious. Breakfasts are rich, fresh, and incredibly tasty — and so are the dinners. You can enjoy both European dishes and Maldivian specialties, which I wholeheartedly recommend. The island itself is breathtaking — it truly feels like paradise. It’s a place untouched by mass tourism. On Bikini Beach, you can feel as if you’re on a deserted island. You can enjoy a variety of water activities available at the hotel and on the island: SUP, snorkeling, jet skiing, or fishing. But you can also simply relax by the ocean, enjoy the beautiful beaches, or take a walk through the jungle. You can even use the hotel’s bicycles. The hotel features beautifully furnished rooms, a gym, a library, and even a telescope! It has everything you could possibly need. A stay at Isla Retreat is a true relaxation for both body and soul.
