A great location for some lovely trail walks and sunset viewing, a short walk to get to dinner (if no car). The toiletries were of a high quality. The rooms were very clean with a modern, big bathroom.

Such a relaxing, lovely spot. Rooms are converted sea containers which are super airy, well thought out and comfortable. The host was so lovely and breakfast on the terrace was a great touch! Also a great location, next to the tea and mist trail entrance and a 15 min walk from a handy HiLife.

“Cozy place in a beutiful area.”

We loved the place. The beds are comfortable with clean bathroom and good breakfast. We had special diet (halal) and Neko prepared it with no issue. The location in Eryanping is also amazing with a lot of hiking trails to choose from. The sunrise from the area was memorable. We will stay here again if we are coming back to Alishan!

“The perfect mountain escape in Alishan! (Especially if you love cats)”

We loved our stay at Miao Home! The host is a super friendly and sweet lady. Everything is cat themed, we loved that as well haha. The location is great - we actually preferred staying here instead of the Alishan national park. Unless you want to see the sunrise there’s no reason to stay in the park. You can visit the park in one day. You can easily take the bus from Miao to the national park or the TRA/HSR train stations of Chiayi (the closest bus stop is Lincuo, a 5 minute walk; Ximending is approximately 15 minutes). There are several buses that stop here - nr. 7302, 7314, 7322, 7322A, 7322C… I am vegetarian and this was no problem. The host offered a vegetarian breakfast and there were several restaurants in the neighbourhood serving vegetarian hotpot. It’s along the tea and mist trail so ideal if you like hiking while also stopping by cute local tea and coffee shops. There’s a pavement so no need to worry about having to walk on the road.

Beautiful terrace to look out at the mountains, nice breakfast ritual, host is so welcoming and cute, location is excellent to right next to the end of the tea & mist trail - you don't even need to go back to the main road, bed is super comfortable, shower is huge and great (best we had in Taiwan), cute cat decor everywhere

“The most gorgeous stay!!”

We had the most wonderful time here! The home is in such a beautiful location and so close to the tea trail (perfect for sunrise and sunset). The host was so welcoming and helpful. Her cat is gorgeous!! Our breakfast was delicious and we wish we could have stayed longer! The bed is comfy, the room was such a restful space and we couldn't have asked for more!

Nice pleasant spot that is along the route to Alishan. Host is nice and friendly. They can make the curtains more secure though… the privacy dont feel airtight

Convenient 4min walk from Lincuo bus stop. A short walk on the same side of the road to b the Tea and Mist trail that connects to the Eryanping trail. Clean and Comfortable cabin stay with toilet. Tastefully decorated. Friendly and hospitable staff who was willing to take Visa payment because i was running short of cash.

Everything is was exceptionally nice. The room is very very comfortable, the property is beautiful and magical with all kinds of fairy lights and cute decorations. The owner and host is thoughtful and kind and very service oriented. The room feels luxurious because the owner clearly thought of all the little details that make a stay not just good, but great. The location on the mountain is beautiful.

Very friendly lady boss, clean and neat room. Nice breakfast cook by the lady boss. She help us to call our driver when he can’t find his way.

Breakfast was nice. 30mins walk from the stay to the Eryanping viewing platform of sunset and sea of clouds. We didn't go for the walk due to Google maps showed that we would need to walk along the main road which we found rather unsafe to do so. But we would have gone if the host had told us earlier that there was actually a short cut to the trail through her bamboo garden which would avoid the dangerous walk on the main road. The host said she didn't know that we would go for the trail walk... So advised the host to put such info online or even have a little booklet in the room to inform the guests what is around etc. The host's family runs a tea farm, bought some tea from her as we didn't have enough time to shop... 😂

“Good value homestay among tea farms and trails.”

The host is very caring and kind. The standard double room has a good price for such a unique and beautiful location. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. The shared outdoor deck is a dreamy spot to enjoy breakfast or to just sit and relax. It's close to the Tea Mist Trail and relatively easy to hike to the first platform that offers sensational views. The bus from Chiayi Train Station stops at the Lincuo Stop not far from the Miao Homestay. The house cat and the cat themed decorations are cute. The road outside has a good footpath and has some street lighting to walk to either the Xiding Town or to the Eryanping trailhead, day or night.

The place is run by a friendly lady who clearly pays attention to all those little details that make your stay pleasant. The rooms are super tidy and well decorated, the mountain views are wonderful and the breakfast is delicious!
