The location is wonderful, wide panoramic view towards the ocean and the nice surfer village of Famara. Also a perfect place to enjoy the sunset after a day of hiking and visiting places. And afterwards a nice starlit sky to enjoy.

Once you get to this place, you don’t want to leave anymore. The house is amazing, beyond all expectations, beautiful, fully furnished, comfortable, with a great view on Famara beach and the mountains. We loved the garden. We had a great time here, Stefano and Diana are friendly and welcoming hosts.

The view from the apartment is just amazing. We really loved it. The bed is very comfortable as well.

Absolutely stunning views and gorgeous little apartment with everything you need, including a well-equipped kitchen. Host contacted us over WhatsApp and we arranged to collect the keys in the evening of arrival. Very helpful and showed us around the apartment, and even messaged us throughout the stay with recommendations on what to visit!

Everything! I spent my honeymoon at El Refugio with my husband. It was absolutely spetacular. The apartment is really large, confortable and is really well equipped with everything you need. The owner is really responsive and friendly. The views are absolutely breathtaking. And its only a 5min drive to the lovely Famara beach.

Because I was stranded at the airport due to my situation, Stefano came to personally pick me up, hand over the keys, and show me around the accommodation. He and his wife Diane were very supportive throughout my stay, ensuring I had plenty of food, that my well-being was in tact, and suggesting friends that could help me get around the island. Thanks to this, I was able to enjoy my holiday despite being alone. They are the most attentive and kind-hearted hosts I have ever encountered, and I cannot express this gratitude in words. The accommodation itself is absolutely breathtaking: if you think the view is pretty in the pictures, just wait until you see it for yourself. And if you're a fan of Cesar Manrique then you're in luck, because the style of the accommodation is heavily inspired (especially the bathroom, which is both unique and stunning). You will have plenty of space, because the open kitchen/lounge are well designed and equipped for all your needs. There is ample storage in the bedroom for clothes and suitcases. The rainfall shower felt so luxurious to use each morning. There is also an outdoor patio which has been set up with care and style, with a sun bed and BBQ. Stefano and Diane have thought through all the details, there are board games, yoga mats, and travel guides available for use during your stay. At the front of the property, there are also two chairs which are fantastic for starting your morning in the fresh air with an unbeatable view of the mountains and ocean ahead. In summary, this place is TRANQUIL. While the property is remote (please ensure you hire a car) it is easy to find and an absolute hidden gem of the island and worth every penny paid. Situated just a minute drive from Famara, an ideal spot if you want to spend some time at the beach relaxing, or surfing, or sampling some indie coffee shops.

This place is amazing, the pictures actually don´t do justice to its beauty! I think the best part is the view which is absolutely breathtaking, especially in the evening with a glass of vino, overlooking the Famara bay. It´s just a few minutes drive to Famara so you get the best out of it - you are very close to it if you want to socialize or go for some surf but this place is very private if that is what you want! The place was spotless clean and the bed was soooooo comfy:-) I haven´t met the host Stefano but i met his lovely wife Diana, who was super helpful with her tips on where to go for food etc...Overall, this was a lovely surprise and i would definitely recommend/repeat!
