Overview
First Hotel Grand Falun is located in central Falun, only 5 minutes' walk from the Central Station. This historic hotel dating back to 1862, features a 24-hour reception and free WiFi access. Most of the rooms feature a design inspired by Falun's heritage. The walls are painted in warm colors taken directly from the hotel's historic banquet hall. The rooms feature a desk and a TV. A breakfast buffet with a wide selection and homemade bread is served in the breakfast restaurant. The UNESCO-listed Falun Copper Mine is 1 km away. Within 15 minutes’ drive is Carl Larsson Gården, the Swedish artist’s former residence and studio. Dalarnas Museum is within 5 minutes' walk, while Lugnet is 1.8 km away.

Perfect location! The room, common areas and hotel were very comfortable and clean. They provided facilities for eating in the restaurant but also your food providing all the equipment needed (utensils, microwave etc). There are nice soffas and calm areas plus a gym that you could use. Amazing breakfast, dinner, free coffee, snacks. Staff is very polite, friendly and willing to help!

Great location. The hotel kindly advised us to book a garage spot in advance if needed, which was very helpful. Clear instructions, friendly staff, easy check-in and check-out. Comfortable beds, very clean, tasty food, and complimentary tea and coffee were a nice extra touch.

This is my favourite hotel in Dalarna. Its comfortable, clean with beautiful art noveau restaurant and great breakfast selection. Hotel staff is always friendly and kind. Its location is also perfect for centre, train etc.
