“Absolute gem of a place. Perfect.”

Absolutely delightful. The owner has curated pieces of furniture and fabrics which are absolutely beautiful and has a real eye for style and details. Little personal touches abound. It really feels like a home from home. The linen and towels are wonderful quality. Such a lovely change from chain hotels with basic linen and scratchy towels that set my teeth on edge. The owner Jeanette was welcoming immediately and without any fuss. The guide in the room was very helpful and made a change from the dreaded QR and app! The place is spotlessly clean. There is a cycle path (flat and tarmac) right at the back just beyond the garden; down which you can walk 10 mins or so to the shuttle bus which is free and regular… to Woods Hole from where you catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Absolute piece of cake. Try the cafe at Woods Hole for the most delicious pastries and coffee! When we returned from a long day Jeanette saw us and offered us tea which was really most welcome in the charming breakfast room. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We could have had a cooked breakfast which I am sure would also have been good but we wanted light food as we were travelling. This is an absolute gem of a place. The beds were super comfy, and we slept well as it was very quiet. This place is easy walking distance to Falmouth with loads of great shops and restaurants. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

“Beautiful inn, beautiful town!”

This is a perfect traditional inn. A lovely homely feel and the owner, Jeanette, is very helpful and attentive. There were some lovely touches such as the coffee station and all the autumn decorations whilst we were there. We stayed three nights and had the continental breakfast during our stay which was good. The room itself was comfortable and the shower the best we had during our 10 day road trip!

This was a great spot, run by absolute pro Jeanette. She was super patient with a card issue during booking, and when we got there the house was truly lovely, just the cosy inn we were looking for. Getting breakfast was great, and being able to have free tea and coffee whenever we liked in the room was brill - not too common in America ! The best thing by far was the gorgeous bicycles for going up and down the Shining Sea path which backs onto the property!

Frederick William house was lovely and Jeanette was a brilliant host. Our room was large, with beautiful Cape cod style white furniture and a lovely bed. It was spotless and the bathroom was large for an en suite, with a fab shower. The parking area was large and the use of bikes was great. We used them several times and the cycle path route was so picturesque. Great spot close to Falmouth town and the shuttle buses to the islands ferry terminal.

Jeanette was very helpful. We had bulky luggage, and she picked us up at the bus stop. The room was comfortable. Though on a busy road, the house backs on to the bike path, which was great! We enjoyed our short stay.

Jeanette was super friendly and very helpful, I can't thank her enough for making me feel at home. Because I stayed a week she upgraded my room for free, so I had lots of space!

Frederick William House is a beautiful House, with great access to the shuttle for Vineyard Ferry in walking distance. We caught the bus from Boston into this shuttle parking lot as well and picked up a car from here which was a lot better for us than driving out of the city. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and filling. I should also say that Falmouth is a great town too, with loads of shops and restaurants. I was also impressed that bikes were available to use, although you won't be catching me on one at any time soon ;) I would have loved it if the house was walking distance to Falmouth centre. Although to be fair it was only a 5 minute drive.

the Frederick William House is conveniently located off the main road to Falmouth center. It has a pleasant family-style atmosphere and is decorated with a lot of attention to the detail. We were lucky because we got a room upgrade. Our room had a fireplace (which we did not use, as it was summer) and was decently spaced. Also it was in the backpart of the house, so we heard no noise from the main road (it might be more noisy in rooms facing the main street). Coffee, tea and Cookies are available at all times, and the continental breakfast was really nice. We used the available beachbikes to head towards the lighthouse and got helpful guidance from the lovely landlady. so in short, it was a lovely stay and I would definitely book the Frederick William House again.
