Overview
Renovated in 2016, this boutique hotel is situated on a mountain in the Falls Creek Ski Resort. Guests can easily access the slopes and then return to the rustic, chic and warm hotel, which has been styled with carefully chosen Australian furnishings. Daily turn down surface is provided. Astra Falls Creek boasts a magnesium swimming pool, decorated with European tiles. There is also a sauna, a hot tub, massage facilities. All rooms at Astra Falls Creek are equipped with a refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, iPod docking station, flat-screen TV, bathrobes and luxury linen and towels. Astra Falls Creek is a short walk from ski hire facilities. The restaurant serves stunning local food partnered with both a wine and cocktail list. Daily hot breakfast is made to order.

The Astra was everything and more. Fabulous setting, comfortable stylish rooms. The leisure facilities were top notch.The staff were warm and friendly and very accommodating. I could not recommend the Astra more. The food was fabulous in the hotel and the bar had a lovely atmosphere. Thank you so much!!

The room rate included breakfast with great coffee. Not just instant. The ski lockers were warm so you could leave your glasses and gloves. Ski in and Ski out location. Loved the library and books also the spa and pool. The sauna was great after a day on the slopes.

“Best winter family stay!”
I was there with my son who took on skiing for the first time. So wanted somewhere comfortable, where we could both relax. We were very well looked after, felt like being at home and everything from the food to the room and the relaxed atmosphere made for a perfect stay. Location is great and we went along for the fireworks on our last day! The closest I've experienced in Australia to the village atmosphere u get in European ski resorts. One of the days we were hotel bound due to terrible weather, and that's when good facilities really shine. And Astra did just that. Between the swimming pool and the spa and the library and kids zones and open fires ... the place had a great vibe.no cabin fever!

“A lovely stay at the Astra. the staff made it all worthwhile”
Breakfast was a buffet and a good choice of food. It probably wasn't as hot as I would've liked. You could order eggs and a few specials on the menu which was good. I ordered the Ham frittata which was absolutely delicious. The hotel itself is very beautiful. The staff are amazing.

“Very good stay and my children really loved every minute of their time at Astra.”
Rooms were comfortable, albeit a bit small [bathroom], dining and leisure areas [fireplace] were good. Ski room/lockers were good as were the pool & sauna areas. Staff were very accommodating and always there to make sure our stay was the best it could be. I particularly thought the breakfast staff were excellent.
