Overview
Situated in the peaceful village of Ezkurra, 750 metres from Ezkurra River, Matxitxulo offers rooms with free WiFi. Free private parking for cars, motorbikes and bikes is available. The rooms have double beds and bunk beds and offer views of the mountains. Each has a private bathroom with a shower. The bathrooms are located inside or outside the room. “Prefect place for mountain walks”
The breakfast was simple but lots of it. Loved the traditional mountain cabin style. The service was perfect. We had on person in a wheelchair and the host helped us a lot getting the wheelchair around the property. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a quick overnight stay or a base point for doing walks in the mountains. The views were out of this world

“Ideal for family”
Very welcoming host Tito. Beautiful little village. Great breakfast and even better evening meals. Would recommend their vegetable broth . Well priced clean and Tito and his staff are so easy to engage with even with the language barrier. Definitely recommend

the surroundings are stunning, it’s a long winding road up the mountain and just gorgeous views on the way and then you arrive. plus it has great history, including an old washroom dating back centuries.

If you are a fan of minimalistic accomodation to cover the basics then this is a place for you! Host was 10 out of 10 and village felt cozy and safe! Parking was just outside the house. Late arrival was well accepted.

Great stop on the way south; the owner was super friendly. We only stayed one night but we will definitely return. If you has the chance to walk down to the river for a dip it’s worth it. Nice restaurant across the road which is run I think buy the same family.
