One of staff was lacking a respect for privacy

The accommodation was clean and well organized, with plenty of space for three children and two adults to stay comfortably. Even a few days before departure, the kids were already excited, happily choosing which beds they would sleep in. Near the accommodation, we visited Tunis Village, where we had a pottery-making experience, and we also enjoyed a felucca ride on the lake. In the evening, we were served a warm meal on the rooftop, and we made a bonfire where we roasted marshmallows and drank herbal tea. At night, we spent a beautiful time watching the countless stars in the sky. In the morning, we were treated to an absolutely outstanding breakfast—the best we’ve had during our stay. It was generous, beautifully prepared, and incredibly delicious, making it the perfect way to end our trip. The manager, Ahmed, provided thoughtful guidance even before our departure and was kind and warm throughout the entire trip, always there to help us. Thanks to Ahmed, our trip to Fayoum was much smoother, and we were able to fully enjoy and experience so many wonderful things. If you are planning a trip to Fayoum, I would highly recommend this accommodation. I would especially recommend the sense of comfort, coziness, warmth, excitement, and joy that we experienced here.

Northern Lake Lodges are hidden gem in Fayum. Quiet (few barking dogs, but it´s normal in Egypt), nicely done with details, hospitality and exceptional food, especially bedouin style breakfast. Thank you Ahmed and all the guys for nice weekend. We will be back.

I wanted to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of Cairo, and Fayoum turned out to be a true gem. The region is definitely worth visiting, offering a perfect mix of natural beauty and fascinating sights. Ahmed, from Northern Lake Lodge, was an incredibly attentive host. He organized various activities for us, including buggy rides, horseback riding, and 4x4 adventures, all starting directly from the hotel, which was very convenient. The accommodations are beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable amenities. The meals are excellent—I highly recommend booking dinners to experience the authentic local flavors. A big thank you to Ahmed for making our stay truly memorable!

Our stay at Northern Lake Lodge is a highlight of our trip to Egypt. The site is dreamy - there is a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views and it's in a great location. The stay was wonderful and we particularly enjoyed sipping mint tea by the evening campfire and having a feast for breakfast with the distant view of flamingoes on the lake. Ahmed and the team are super friendly and hospitable, and helped us to arrange several incredible trips. You can't miss the safari tour and visiting the desert on an unforgettable trip with a legendary tour guide! We also recommend the boat trip and taking a tuktuk into Tunis village to explore. The site has a calm, natural, outdoorsy feel whilst offering spacious, clean and cosy accommodation options. It's the perfect relaxed getaway after exploring Egypt's cities and busier tourist sites, and deserves a place on any itinerary in its own right.

I went to Fayoum by myself and from the beginning Ahmed communicated with me and was very helpful all the time. I took the Safari tour with Waleed and spent the best day in the desert. The breakfast was amazing! And Waheeda, the dog walked with me to the lake that it’s just 10 minutes away from the camp. I would love to come back!
