Situated in Eyrarbakki fishing village, these modern cottages feature rustic details, fully equipped kitchens and private terraces with ocean or garden views. The Great Geysir is a 50-minute drive away. A seating area and flat-screen TV with DVD player are featured in living rooms at Sea Side Cottages. One cottage has a designer bathroom with a large bathtub while other has a rain shower. Guests can relax in the furnished garden. Fishing is a popular activity in the area. Barbecue facilities are provided on site. The Red House Restaurant is 300 metres from Sea Side Cottages. Reykjavik city centre is 50 minutes’ drive from the cottages. The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 1-hour drive away.

“I recommend the place to those who are looking for quiet but homely self-catering accommodation.”
I spent a week in the smaller cottage at the end of December 2025. The accommodation was exactly as described, very cozy and quiet. I was afraid of the heating, but it was always pleasantly warm thanks to the underfloor heating. Margrét was helpful. The town was small, with one restaurant and one gas station. But since you had to go everywhere by car anyway, the wide range of supermarkets in Selfoss, 10 minutes away, was enough for everything.

“Perfect cosy stay”
Really cosy cottage by the sea. Easy to find and good base for exploring. Owners were lovely and even let us know when Northern lights were happening.

The sea side cottage was a warm welcome for us to Iceland. The cottage is made "with love" and every detail is just on point so that you can enjoy the coziness to the fullest and just feel at home. All in one, the flat was super clean, well equipped, and great located.
