“Beautifully located hotel”
I’ve been there many times before and the location is simply gorgeous. Peace, quiet and tranquility. There are some lovely walks in the area as well. A nice swimming pool which is open every day, but the sauna has to be requested in advance, which is not a problem

As visitors to the bi-annual Pferdestarke event, we have stayed at Hotel Zur Burg Sternberg every 2 years since approximately 2010. The buffet style breakfasts and evening meals are delicious. The location is quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, as our German isn't brilliant, it was good that some staff spoke excellent English. Special mention to Stella and Stephanie.

“Lovely stop over”
Lovely hotel, great restaurant with good food at good value.. buffet for €21pp with free cold drinks. Parking was free.

It is no longer a quality what it used to be. They do not clean rooms every day (due to hygienic restrictions they say), if you need a new towel you can get one at a shelf in the corridor, they do not empty your bin...overall everyday service is poor. Carpets everywhere are dirty and smelly. A guest in the neighbouring room was smoking in the balcony from early morning (4am) and all that bad smell went to my room. Breakfast choice is poor and expensive to what you get. I will not return there.

Could not book in till 16:00 and out by 11:00 there was no bar facilities untill the evening, there was vending machines, the room was ok for 1 night shower was broken, and kept going all over place tv was from 19th century,
