Overview
Offering magnificent views of the Drakensberg mountain range, Little Switzerland Resort is located a 30-minute drive from Bergville. The resort offers rooms and self-catering chalets. The accommodation will provide you with a seating area, heating, satellite TV and tea-and-coffee making facilities. The chalets also offer a kitchen. Our chalets have stairs and are not suitable for elderly guests or guests with disabilities or who have difficulty in walking. At Little Switzerland Resort you will find an outdoor pool and a restaurant. Other facilities offered at the property include a tennis court meeting facilities and games room. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including golfing, bird watching, cycling and horse riding.

We had supper and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was outstanding. The service form Emanuel, our waiter was brilliant. Looking forward to our next trip there.

“Relaxing couple of days and the beautiful Little Switzerland”
The magnificent Mountain Views and the fresh air - priceless. When we arrived it was quieter thus all meals were à la carte - These were really enjoyable except for some dishes that were extremely salty. However with the onset of the long weekend- the kitchen shifted to buffet meals and these were just average- quality much poorer than à la carte. Though the service was mostly good - there were some waitressing staff that were just not up to the job - a guy who did not even make eye contact as though every request was an effort. But we tried to avoid his service as the rest of the team was really good - including the bar team. The rooms and beds are comfortable and cosy- do choose the mountain facing rooms.

“Perfect Family Retreat”
We had a fantastic family getaway and overall a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional throughout our stay. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were all of a very high standard and easily deserving of a five-star rating. The fillet steak was especially outstanding. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained, although the rooms could benefit from an update, particularly the bathrooms. The activities were a real highlight for the whole family. We thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding, go-karting, and zip line course, and the hiking trails offered a great outdoor experience. What truly made the stay memorable was the staff. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Their excellent service really added to the overall experience. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and a lovely family retreat that we would happily recommend.
