Overview
This Estes Park lodge is less than 10 minutes’ drive from the Rocky Mountain National Park. A pond for trout fishing is located on the property. Guest rooms include pine furnishings, a private entrance and seating area. A small fridge is provided in all guest rooms at Discovery Lodge. A patio with sweeping views of the continental divide, free toiletries and free Wi-Fi are offered. This pet friendly hotel, where all dogs are welcome, features hiking trails directly from the property. Discovery Lodge sits on 5 acres of natural land that includes a catch and release trout pond. A hot tub is also provided for an afternoon of relaxing. Barbecue facilities with picnic tables and a gazebo are available. The Scottish-Irish Festival and Lake Estes are both 4 minutes' drive from Discovery Lodge. The shops and restaurants of Downtown Estes is just 7 minutes' walk from the property.

Got a renovated room and it was comfortable for 1-2 nights. Breakfast was very basic but free. Location is great, walkable to town and lake.

“A magical stay surrounded by elk and breathtaking views.”
Our stay at Discovery Lodge was absolutely magical! We stayed in a room with a balcony and large windows, and waking up to the sunrise over the lake with elk bugling all around was unforgettable. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and breakfast was great, especially enjoying it while watching more elk in the garden, including two bull elk interacting. It was truly a unique experience!

Perfect location for trip to Rocky Mountain NP. Comfortable beds, friendly staff and a hot tub! Will definitely come back for next Rocky’s trip. For anyone with EV there is a charging station walking distance from the lodge.

Really nice place for its price with breakfast included. Super close to Estes Park Visitor Center and local stores and restaurants. Definiely staying here again if visit Estes Park.
