“For all nature lovers!”
I can absolutely recommend this place for all nature lovers. The place has a beautiful garden with many flowers, trees and birds (including hummingbirds). Deylin (speaking English well) is the woman leading this hostel and very kind. They can organize tours for you for example through the organic coffee plantations or the cloud forest to whack butterflies, birds and gigantic fig trees. If you get on this tours a bit of Spanish is recommended. The place has also a nice fresh climate compared to the hot Leon region. Highly recommended for nature lovers.

Typical building with openings between wall and roof that let's the cold winds enter, the lady was very comprehensive of our deception and kindly accepted to change our reservation from 3 to 1 night

Free water, nice people, and if you ignore the barbed wire that cuts you off from 100% of the surroundings you can find some unique photo motives, if you are a scout.

The two sisters running this were very friendly very helpful and fantastic at cooking. Our meals were very nice. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our time at this property.

The host family was really great. They picked me up from the bus stop and had a great dinner prepared. There are lots of birds and flowers at the farm. I had come in a bit sick and I felt like they did everything possible to take care of me. The farm itself and the suroundings are beautiful.

“Best accomodation during my stay in Nicaragua”
- Basic accomodation on a beautiful farm. The perfect getaway to connect to nature. - The garden is full of (humming)birds and the host will give you a farm tour around the property for free. - Many hammocks available to relax. - The bus stops in front of the property (only once per day) - All the food that the host prepares for you comes from the farm and is delicious. - You can also book all your tours (horseback riding, cloud forest hikes, bird watching, coffee tour) through the Finca, which is convenient in this remote location!

Nice location in the nature and very good food. Very friendly owners. Lots of Kolibris. If you go there with your own car instead of a bus, it should be a 4WD. The road is very challenging.

We had one of our nicest stays of our whole trip here at Finca Fuente de Vida! We only spent 2 nights but it was so lovely and relaxing. The room itself is basic but we knew to expect that, and in terms of value for money it was great. The farm itself is beautiful, the little trail around it was a great addition and made for a nice morning stroll. There were plenty of private seating areas all around the farm, we spent one of our afternoons just relaxing in the hammocks and reading, also watching the many hummingbirds flying around. We were recommended some walks in the local area, both with and without a guide, which helped when we weren’t too sure what to do with our morning. The food provided was some of the best we have had, we only had one breakfast and one dinner but they were both delicious, the portion size is really generous and the variety is great. My partner and I are both vegan and they were able to accommodate our dietary requirements without a hesitation. The thing that made the whole trip for us was the extra effort they put in for my birthday, my partner mentioned it at the time of booking, and not only did they remember and wish me a happy birthday, but they also surprised me with the most delicious vegan banana cake! It was a really personal touch, and made it a birthday to remember. I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape to the countryside, and cooler climates, for a few days. Thank you very much for having us!

Family was so kind and welcoming. Room was big and clean, farm is gorgeous and area is great for walks and hikes. Tons of birds around the farm. Food and coffee was great, spent 5 nights here and plan to return!

Idyllic location in the clouds, with good walks and waterfall nearby. Lovely family. Dailen speaks good English. All food and drink is grown on the farm. Hummingbirds outside the bedroom window. Comfy bed with mossie net.

“Wonderful eco-tourism place in the green heart of Miraflor run by friendly and energetic local women”
Finca Fuente de Vida is a wonderful place to enjoy some relaxing time in the green heart of Miraflor country side It is simple but you have everything you need ( incl. A bathroom and yummy freshly cooked food) and it's situated in a beautiful garden at the edge of the forest ( don't miss to take a walk at the rain forest Sendero that starts behind the house) and a village ( walk the road and say hello to the people) with fresh air and lovely flowers. The women who run the Finca - Deylin Romero Blandon and her sisters - are very friendly and do a great job.They can tell you ( in Spanish, and Deylin speaks English) a lot about the life in this Cooperative, about coffee and crops, as well as their efforts to develop eco-tourism and live in harmony and with care for nature and people. So every penny u spend here is for a very good cause, it benefits directly the local people, independent eco-tourism, small scale economy and it helps to preserve this beautiful area as it is.
