The apartment was spacious with working fridge, gas stove and hot water. The private balcony gets good sun when it's out. There were electric heaters available.

“A beautiful Riad in a good location with a warm welcome”

Riad Lunetoile was a beautiful Riad. Our room was lovely and very clean. The roof terrace is perfect for relaxing in the sunshine, with views of the town and the sea. The location was perfect and well placed within the Medina. The breakfasts were freshly prepared and delicious. The ladies who looked after the Riad were so lively, polite and helpful.

Very good location, friendly stuff and nice breakfast

This beautiful Riad is in the middle of the Medina and extremely peaceful. It is run by some caring women. The rooms are decorated with love, and we had real cotton sheets. The terrace is overlooking the sea, and you can sunbathe there. We got some good rest here, and one of the ladies took us to a local Hammam. That was a special experience. “A place with a potential but needs a decent makeover and some imagination”

Great view from the top terrace , the vibe of the second floor apartament is good but the whole place needs a decent makeover. Staff were really nice but note that mainly French and Darija are spoken - forget a small talk in English , not possible WiFi is strong and reliable !!

We were welcomed as if in a family home. Staff lovely and breakfast very good. They organised a sunset camel trip from the riad. We also had a fabulous Moroccan cookery class at the riad with one of the staff which was great fun and delicious!

Gorgeous Riad right in the heart of the old town, staff were amazing. The only issue was that we were charged extra for a second room when the booking stated two rooms.

Excellent location in the Medina and close to the sea. Stunning view from the balcony. We had a specious room (deluxe).

“Dissapointing”

1. Early Dec 2024: In the morning +/- 10:00 AM: we booked the apartment and a superior room for 2 nights (for the same night and the night after) and we received booking confirmation around 11:00 AM. At 14:30 PM I sent a message to the riad via booking.com to inform them that we were on our way, +/- 30 mins upfront -> Once arrived, it seemed that the 2 room apartment was undergoing renovation works (painting) but we were told that all would be cleaned, cleared and ready around 18:00. When we came back around 20:30, we found that the wooden walls of one rooms was newly/fresh painted leaving a not only very strong smell, but also releasing chemicals from which my son suffered a severe headache for days and he had no sleep at all! On the sheets on the bed in the other room (although "just" made) we found long hairs and fake lashes, so not clean. - We would have appreciated if - even though already booked - the manager/owner would have communicated that the apartment was not rentable due to renovations, mistakes can happen but you cannot put your guests in a toxic environment at all! -> We left during very early morning after 1 night ... 2. Another important comment to add: As we gave our passports for check in, they did not want to return it unless we immediately paid the full amount in cash. I was able to pay for one night immediately (that was all the cash I was carrying at that moment). Only after raising my voice and strongly insisted demand, we received our passports back. I have stayed multiple times in Essaouira before and never did I experience such a treatment. Conclusion: The ratings given do not match the reality at all - @Booking.com: please correct this for the sake of future guests.

“Beautiful, bright, clean apartment close to the beach with friendly, professional staff.”

Latifa looked after us very well. Being at the top floor, the apartment was flooded with natural light. The decor was tasteful. I loved the private terrace also. The location to shops, restaurants, cafes and beach made this property ideal for our short stay.

Our room was very clean and well designed, hope to come back again next year.

Kind and accommodating staff, clean and tidy place, very relaxing and close to Medina. The heater is nice on cold nights.

The location is great, nice terrace. The staff on site is friendly, the place is very clean. We had a very nice room with personal bathroom.
