“Spacious apartment with great location and warm hospitality”

Appart Ayoub is located in the new town of Essaouira, with very easy access and clear directions. Parking was never a problem, as we could always park right on the street in front of the apartment, which is a big advantage for guests traveling by rental car. Communication with Ayoub was excellent from the start. He replied quickly and kindly to all our questions before arrival, and on check-in day he personally welcomed us and carefully explained everything about the apartment. When we initially had a small issue with the Wi-Fi, he solved it immediately. The apartment itself is very spacious, with two separate bedrooms (one double and one twin), making it ideal for families or small groups. The kitchen is fully equipped and would also be suitable for longer stays. We stayed in December, and although the evenings were a bit chilly, Ayoub had thoughtfully prepared a heater for us. Throughout our stay, Ayoub regularly texted us to make sure everything was going well and was always ready to help if needed. We truly appreciated his sincere and hardworking hospitality. The location is also very convenient: the medina can be reached in less than 5 minutes by car or about a 20-minute walk. It is a great balance between easy access to the old town and experiencing a calmer, everyday side of Essaouira. Excellent value for money and highly recommended!

Ayoub is an outstanding host (he really is!), speaks good English and is always available and responsive via WhatsApp for all your questions and any advice or help you may need. The apartment is very beautiful, very clean and spacious, ideal for a family of 4, and equipped with everything you may need during your stay. A home away from home, and parking right in front of the door. I'll be glad to stay here again

Ayoub was so intentive and friendly. The apartment is tastefully traditional Moroccan decorated and is comfortable. It was very quiet, which insured a good night's sleep . It's about a 10 minute walk to the medina and the beach. When I visit Essaouira again I will stay here again if it's not already booked.

“Amazing apartment, amazing host.”

Ayoub has some serious ratings on Booking and other sites and they are well deserved. Ayoub and his family have obviously spent good money on this apartment with a large, comfortably, bright and airy space designed from the outset with travellers and tourists in mind, and the result is all that it should be. From little touches (rose petals on check-in!) to nice decoration touches to much needed functionality the apartment is a delight. (This is the only place we found with a washing machine which was badly needed after a couple of weeks on the road - Ayoub supplied us with detergent and his mother even helped us peg the clothes out on their roof terrace!) Ayoub himself couldn't do more to help us, and was obviously upset that the workmen working on another building might have impacted our stay. (They didn't). Built in a fairly traditional riad configuration with a large open central shaft with the accommodation on balconies around the outside of the shaft (there are 3 floors - the apartment on one at the bottom and 2 family floors above it), it had 2 good sized bedrooms, a decent kitchen with appliances, a compact but modern bathroom (see if you can read the message in the tiles behind you whilst looking in the mirror!) with decent shower, electric shaving mirror, mood lighting and so on. At the eastern edge of town it is easy enough to find, and all for a very reasonable price. Thank you Ayoub!

“Fantastic apartment in a great location”

A very clean and comfortable apartment in a typical modern Moroccan terrace. Very comfortable beds and a good dining area and excellent kitchen with cooker, fridge, washing machine and crockery / cutlery / pans. Everything you need to cook for yourself and live independently if you wish. Very secure with the building owned by one local family who live in site and are really friendly and helpful. Also a great roof terrace with views. Ten minutes walk to the beach or medina.

“Great apartment in the quiet and nice neighbourhood with an amazing host!”

Ayoub is an amazing host. He helped us with everything we needed and took care of all our needs. When we needed advise about Essaouira or surroundings he helped us out. He got us a table at a popular restaurant, through a friend of his who works there. He also checked for us if the roads we would take after visiting Essaouira were open, which was great help. The location for us was the best; it’s a quiet neighbourhood where you can sleep really nice, it has some little shops around, but is not in the busy medina. The beach is about 10ish minutes walking and the medina about 15-20 minutes. But you can also easily take a taxi close to the house, which will cost you only 8 dirham to get to the medina (less than 80 euro cents!), which we did in the evenings with our little child. We enjoyed a lot and hope to come back! Thanks a lot Ayoub for the warm welcome and the amazing stay!

Great host. Perfect location. Very nice and clean apartment. We are family of five and all the amenities are provided in the property are perfect for family or with kids. Walking distance from Medina and beach or short taxi ride. Ayoub is a great person he does level best to accommodate all our requirements. It was just like visiting a friend. He also arranged taxi back and to airport for us. His Mother also helped us and she is very kind person. Thanks very much for all the help.
