Overview
Set on the beachfront within Piedras Blancas National Park, Saladero Ecolodge is surrounded by rainforest and is accessible only by boat. This all-inclusive property offers free boat transfers, kayaks and snorkelling gear. Accommodation at the lodge offers views of the tropical gardens, the rainforest or Golfo Dulce bay. All cabins have mosquito screens and some units have an en suite bathroom. Saladero Ecolodge offers 3 free meals and an afternoon snack daily. Meals are made with fresh organic ingredients grown on site, and include typical Costa Rican dishes. Guests enjoy free unlimited use of kayaks and snorkelling and fishing equipment. You can also book optional tours, including rainforest hikes, zip-lining and visits to a chocolate plantation. Saladero Ecolodge offers free boat transfers from Golfito or Puerto Jimenez, both around 35 minutes away. Ballena Cove is just a 15-minute kayak ride away.

“We left a day early. Nobody asked why.”
The location is good. But the lodge relies too heavily on its position and seems to feel that the location is enough to justify the lack of basic facilities.

nature, nature, nature. tranquillity. small number of people. nature. wonderful owners who were super responsive. tour guide with great knowledge and enthusiasm. kayaks, snorkelling, lots if different tours to explore. nearby wildlife sanctuary was unmissable.
