Overview
This hotel lies in the Enontekiö region in Finnish Lapland, 400 metres from Lake Ounasjärvi. It offers free WiFi in the lobby, free gym and evening sauna access and a variety of outdoor activities. Most of Hotel Hetan Majatalo’s rooms have a TV, a small fridge and a private bathroom. Some feature simple décor and shared toilets and showers. Hetan Majatalo’s seasonal restaurant offers a typical Finnish and Laplandic buffet, based on the owner's old recipes. Small snacks can be bought at reception. Guests can relax and enjoy a drink at the hotel bar. General facilities include a souvenir shop, a lounge, a small library and a children's play area. Ski storage and laundry facilities are also available, as well as a guest computer in the lobby. Guests can use bikes, kick-sledges and car heating plugs free of charge. Hetan Majatalo Hotel can arrange reindeer safaris and dog-sledding tours. Skiing tracks and hiking paths are found just outside the door. “Friendly, with a great breakfast!”
An exceptional stay, with the warmest and friendliest welcome I think we’ve ever had at a hotel. We accidentally double-booked and the staff went above and beyond to sort this out with booking.com. Fantastic breakfast too, and lovely wooden interiors!

“Charming and comfortable”
Beautiful property, kind owners with good advice and happy to accommodate. The sauna is really cool and they provide bikes which is really useful given the distances.

“OK Hotel for a stopover”

“Cosy arctic getaway”
My room was surprisingly large, with a spacious bathroom and loft area for two more beds. This would make an excellent choice for families. The wooden construction gives the place a very warm and cosy feel, yet still providing all the modern amenities. Breakfast was most excellent, and I must commend the chefs for preparing such an excellent start to the day. The hotel is right on the outskirts of town, so easy to get to and reach nearby restaurants while not experiencing any traffic noise. In fact, my room overlooked the forest.

“Friendly staff and good breakfast”
The staff was friendly and helpful. Advised local places to eat. When we arrived before 8 p.m., they heated the sauna for us. The breakfast was great. There were steep stairs in the room, but they didn't bother us.

“Comfortable with good food.”
Very tasty food. Nice staff. Good facilities equipped for what a hiker could want. They even had 2 delicious vegan dishes on the dinner menu.

“Great hotel close to Hetta Pallas trailhead”
It's a great hotel, very comfortable, and close to Hetta Pallas trailhead. The facilities are excellent, the breakfast was delicious, the sauna was nice, and the staff was polite and friendly. Recommended.
