“Great location, not worth the price”

Fantastic location, great decor, and friendly staff.

Just a lovely boutique hotel, the design of it is particularly unique. The rooftop patio was the big bonus, views were stunning over the Pacific. The room was beautifully decorated in a very modern , tasteful design !! Loved all of it !!!

This a wonderful Hotel; a real gem! I was mesmerized by the special and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. The beds are extremely comfortable - one of the best beds I have had in a Hotel. The staff is exceptional - accommodating, helpful, professional and so friendly! The breakfast is small but good - a tasty fresh juice, coffee and muffins. There is a sundeck at the top of the Hotel with a fantastic view; a great place to hang out and enjoy the sunset. The location is perfect - it is just some steps away from a nice beach and from good seafood restaurants. The Hotel offers towels, beach-chairs and umbrellas for free - an excellent service so that we could enjoy two days at the beach. I highly recommend staying at the Cardiff by the Sea Lodge!

“Restful room, beautiful location and professional staff”

The staff were great, very welcoming and helpful. Location just behind the beach was super and easy to get into downtown Encinitas by car. Rooftop view was lovely and room was clean, comfy bed and spacious

The handicap shower water drains/flows past the long floor drain…we had to leave a bath towel across do dam the water. Otherwise room was excellent!

It was very clean and a close walk to the beach. We enjoyed the roof-top area a lot!

The rooms were modern and spacious and clean. Great view of the ocean. Easy access to restaurants and the ocean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

“A class place to stay!!”

We loved the location! The rooms all have a different theme! We were lucky enough to experience 2 of these - the French Garden and the Roosevelt Room!! The beach was on the doorstep plus lovely restaurants to eat in! A super food market also. There is a fantastic roof top terrace- very spacious, lovely seating areas and fabulous views! The staff Richard, Anthony and (sorry we can't remember your name!) - were so helpful and welcoming! We cannot recommend this enough! If you are ever in this part of the US please stay here!!

I love that the hotel rooms are different themes. There is a roof top with an amazing view of the beach. Lots of place to walk.

“Short stay with pets, excellent location friendly staff.”

Breakfast was suspended as was daily housekeeping, only stayed 2 nights so not a major issue for us this trip, a number of places to get breakfast in easy walking distance. Pet friendly location was a major driver for us, no issues with our dogs.
