The room was very comfortable , and had no issues, the property owner was friendly and very polite. Would recommend this to anyone that visits embilipitiya or needs a room.

“Lovely peaceful family run guesthouse”

Lovely family run accommodation in a rural garden setting off the main street. Modern building with rooms overlooking a well kept garden with mango, coconut and other tropical trees. The room was nice, clean with mosquito net set up over the bed - the bed was big and comfortable. Air con and fan both worked really well. WiFi was OK. Bathroom and shower were nice - there was a hot shower which was a bit temperamental - probably due to the low water pressure. Nice seating area outside where we were served a fabulous breakfast of rice, lovely dhal, pancakes, toast, fruit. There was so much and the dhal was topped up, by our host, because we ate it all! The owners were very friendly and helpful - Sharman organised an afternoon safari for us in Udawalawe, and organised a driver to take us to Ella. He recommended a restaurant and was really friendly, informative and helpful.

It’s located in the heart of the town with easy access to meet our needs on foot.

A budget friendly and comfortable restpoint away from the main road. Comfortable and tidy bed, with a simple mosquito net. The room was tidy and spacious, with a clean bathroom with hot water. Owner was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended for the budget conscious traveller.

Very friendly host and beautiful house

“Central yet very quiet.”

Great location – central yet set back 200m from the main road. Restaurants and banks are within walking distance. Surprisingly quiet for such a central location. The room was simple, practical, clean, and well-equipped. We had booked one with air conditioning, which worked well. In the evening, there were a lot of mosquitoes around the reception and veranda, but luckily, there were no issues with mosquitoes inside the room. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay!

Clean and comfortable to stay for one night when traveling from Ella or Badulla to the coast side or wanna take safari trip from there.The staff is very helpful and friendly.

It's a wonderful place with a warmly welcome; you feel very welcome but still you can keep your privacy as they know how to handle tourists. The owner is a very intelligent man with a lot of knowledge, and he speaks english very wwll so you can have very good conversations. We totally liked our stay.

“Brilliant gem of a hide away, minutes from the hustle and bustle of Embillipitya town shops”

Brilliant location a short walk from town shops and main bus station, very clean and quiet, brilliant views from the balcony including the local wildlife in the surrounding mango and coconut trees. Highly enjoyable stay.

Very welcoming host, highly recommended as a stop over from Uda Walawe and very close to the bus stand. The location is central but away from busy main road. Very lovely dinner and nice chat with the host, will come back, thank you!

The welcome was great and the rooms were well -maintained. A short walk from the delights of central Embilapitiya - a great find, and we will be back.

It was a perfect stay at Vishmee. Although my stay was late only for one night, I enjoyed the hospitality and comfort in a nature-surrounded atmosphere. What I liked the most was, it was a hassle-free welcome :)
