The facilities were excellent - decent cooker / comfortable bed / aircon / wifi reception good / very close to shops and beach and bus and taxi stops. The host was really helpful as well.

“Outstandingly equipped refurbished village house”

We had a lovely stay in this immaculately presented Greek village house. The kitchen had all the equipment one could ever need, and it was particularly welcome to have filtered water on tap, rather than having to buy water in plastic bottles. The house was surprisingly spacious, the roof had been rebuilt higher which added to the feeling of space. In the bedroom there were plenty of cupboards and drawers, and there were nice little touches everywhere, making it feel homely, The interior walls were painted in stylish shades of pale grey, and the laminate wood floors were a joy to walk on. A perfect holiday home. We are English ex-pats who have lived on Crete for over 20 years. We have stayed in a great many small holiday rentals on Crete, and this was the best. Dimitris was a great host, with a nice friendly manner, and always available if needed. It was interesting to find out that the original cottage had belonged to his grandmother. There were other houses nearby in the quiet side street, and it was a pleasure to stay amongst Greek families. The house is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Elounda, where you will find a couple of small but well stocked supermarkets, various shops, and a good choice of tavernas and cafes, several of the latter being situated on the park near the harbour. Elounda is a good base for touring, and, if you want to "get away from it all" there are plenty of little villages up scenic winding mountain roads on the area behind the town

“PERFECT”

A joy to stay here!! The apartment is beautiful, stylish and so well equipped. The location is excellent- right beside the main street but zero noise! Walking distance to everything. Washing machine on site is great as we moved to our next location. Our host was FANTASTIC. Dimitris is super kind, helpful and welcoming. It was a pleasure to meet his adorable, sweet kids also!! Euxaristoume para poli, Dimitri for our truly wonderful experience. I cannot recommend enough.

We loved our stay here. This is such a beautiful Greek house. Dimitris is friendly and always willing to help. The house is immaculately clean, the decor is exceptional. We were astounded by the attention to detail and all the facilities. The house is cool from very effective air conditioning. The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you would need for a fully functional kitchen. The location of this house is just perfect in a quiet road from the centre but literally just 2 minute walk and you are in the centre of Elounda. The house looks so pretty in the evening with all the lights on. We will definitely be back next year. If you book this house I can 100% guarantee you will love your stay here!

“A very comfortable home from home.”

This is a very clean, spacious and well equipped house with a large sunny courtyard. It is quietly situated in a back street but with the bustle of the square, beach, shops and tavernas etc only a few steps away. Dimitris, the host, has tastefully furnished the house and thought of everything that might be needed in a holiday home. I liked it so much I stayed an extra couple of days! I would have no hesitation in staying there again if I needed accommodation in the area.

Dimitris is an excellent host and made our stay perfect. This is a wonderful house with great space (inside & outside), a working kitchen with every utensil you would need, a very comfortable bed plus a washing machine. The location is outstanding as it's only 100m from the centre of Elounda (but we didn't have any noise). Highly recommended.

If you wanna stay on the beaten track (the very center of Elounda) valuing Greek authenticity and the feeling of belonging here at least for your holiday time, just get the chance to enjoy the comfort of an impeccable, cosy Greek home with a lemon tree which branches are spreading above the kitchen window and other perks one can only wish on a holiday stay. Cats are a special bonus here yet they are not intrusive if you are not in favor of them. Be sure to rely on the host Dimitris. A young, intelligent gentleman is available anytime you might need info or any kind of assistance. I used all his tips to explore the area and got a fabulous time and experience. “Top quality property so close to town centre.”

Everything. The host Dimitris was extremely helpful. The house was renovated in 2020 to an excellent standard and is full of little extras. Really well equipped kitchen. Really comfy double bed. Great bathroom with very powerful shower. So quiet with a lovely garden to sit in equipped with table and chairs and loungers but just a very short walk down an alleyway and you are right in the centre of town.

Everything about Lemon Tree House was just perfect. Location is ideal, a quiet setting yet right in the heart of town. Everything needed is close by, wonderful restaurants, shops, beach and transport. A stunningly Immaculate home, contempory but traditional a wonderful mix of old and new, retaining the beauty and tradition in the house from it's conversion. Home is fully equipped with more than you could wish for, Nespresso machine, sandwich toaster on top of the usual crockery and utensils, all excellent quality and condition, full size oven again new condition, eating in is made easy, a superb butchers and grocery stores are on the doorstep, everything top quality and nothing spared. A wash house containing a washing machine and other utilities makes this totally a home from home but something and somewhere special-. Internet and Netflix an added bonus for when the weather stands in the way of beach days, immaculately clean fresh bedding and towels. I could go on and on nothing whatsoever needed or that could be improved, just perfect. Dimitris is a wonderful caring and sincere man, he works hard at ensuring you want for nothing to have a wonderful stay. And the lemon tree, perfectly manicured, it's just magical. Elounda is just super, I will certainly return. Thankyou Dimitris for your care and exceptional hospitality.

“Wonderful stay”

The stay was amazing, the host is very kind and caring. The house is equiped with all the needed kitchen utensils, iron, safe, also there is a separate laundry building near the lemon tree in the personal yard. Very clean house, perfect white sheets and towels, comfortable bed. Each room has conditioner. Also it's literally 2 minutes away from the church in the city center.

“Blissful relaxing stay”

Lemon tree house is a fantastic fully refurbished little stone built house perfectly located. It is right in the middle of the town but down a little side road so the bars, restaurants and beach are less than 5 minutes walk away but house itself itself is very quiet. The outside area is lovely with ample seating area and with pretty illuminated path in the evening. Inside the cottage, the minimalist but stylish furnishings and decor really make the house feel special. The bedroom has a large, comfortable double bed and extra bedding was provided. A full wall of wardrobes and a dressing table (complete with hairdryer) means there is ample storage. The bathroom and shower is also ample and plenty of additional towels were provided. The kitchen has been fully kitted out with everything you could possibly need - large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker but also enough pots, pans and kitchen equipment to cook a 3 course meal if you want and a dining table. There is corner large sofa and TV in the living space. The cottage is fully air conditioned and wifi works really well. Finally, Dimitris is an absolutely fabulous host …. he was super helpful answering our questions prior to our arrival, arranged our taxi transfers to and from the airport, met us at the house and showed us around and answered any questions we had while we were there extremely quickly. Highly recommend this property.

Dimitris, the host, was just lovely. So friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our holiday home was extremely well equipped with nice touches like phone chargers and hairdryer provided. I think Dimitris had thought of everything. The location was ideal being a short walk from the harbour but peaceful and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. We loved everything about the Lemon Tree.
