Aristea Hotel is located centrally in Elounda, a 5-minute walk from the beach. It has rooms with a balcony overlooking Mirabello Bay. The hotel offers breakfast and a seafood restaurant. All air-conditioned rooms at Hotel Aristea have light colours and are equipped with a TV. Each has a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. Guests can taste Cretan food at the hotel restaurant on the ground floor or by the sea. Just 15 metres away, the hotel features a tavern with fresh fish and views of the bay. The position of the hotel is perfect. It is right next to bars restaurants and within an easy walk of the beach. The ladies on reception were very kind and helpful and tge lady who cleaned the rooms was brilliant. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the sea view rooms were just stunning.

Balcony right over the sea, beautyful view to wake up to. Elounda is a lovely little fishing town. Very hospitable community & lady at reception was fantastic!

Little changed from our last visit 26 years ago. Same family running it. A basic hotel that has all the essentials, including decent air-con, and the best view in town if you get a sea-front room. Bathroom small, shower adequate, generally clean and tidy. Very central location and the attached Kalidon restaurant floats in the harbour next to the Spinalonga boats - excellent food and very friendly staff.

“Fabulous location and nice rooms but communal areas in need of work and breakfast needs improving.”
Things we liked - The room was nice and the beds comfortable. Nice that they'd thought about including a full length mirror and a magnified make-up mirror on the dressing table, too. - Air conditioning and TV included. - Location was lovely with a sea view which was also quiet. - Outsider courtyard area for breakfast is pleasant. - Clearly a family-run establishment which was nice to read about in the comment books from the 1980s! - Nice of them to celebrate its history with the older touches such as the telephone in reception and the tapestry along with family photos.

“You only get what you pay for. Cheap but not cheerful!”
Breakfast adequate but not appetising. Room was a decent size but decor, fixtures and fittings in desperate need of refurbishing. Bed comfortable but bedclothes , although laundered , were stained and damaged.
