Overview
This family-run hotel is located a comfortable 10-minute walk from Elmshorn town centre. Hotel Royal offers free parking, and is a 20-minute drive from Hamburg city centre. The Esprit restaurant offers a menu which changes on a weekly basis. It includes specialities from the Schleswig-Holstein region as well as Mediterranean dishes. Guests can dine on the terrace in summer, or beside the cosy fireplace in winter. Rooms are comfortably furnished and includes a TV and a private bathroom. Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel for an extra charge.

Very polite and helpful staff. I met a lady on my arrival and she was very warm and welcoming and answered my queries. The following day, I met a gentleman at the reception who was so helpful. He even helped sort out taxi.

Very nice breakfast for a good price. My room was big, had all the essentials, and while simple I really liked it. I had booked for two nights and extended for one night. Three of my friends had also booked a room at the Royal and they also liked it.

The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and offers plenty of parking bays for guests at no extra charge. The price/standard relationship is correct. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, but for the price paid, it is okay. The staff is kind and helpful.

We stayed here during WOA 2023. From the railway station it's 15 minutes to hotel. In general, the rooms was okay: enough cleany, good beds, shower works, sizes of rooms was okay. The breakfast was typical for every day: not a various but it's enough.
