“Memorable”

Check in was simple informal but warm and welcoming I did not feel overwhelmed. The property is eco friendly I came to realise, they do not use chemicals or pesticides furthermore they do not interfere with nature. Breakfast was simple and tailored to my budget, same thing with my lunch and dinner. The rooms have complementary mineral water and a coffee/tea making facility which for me was just very convenient, the mosquito net served me well. The my room was cleaned daily and the housekeeper was always attentive and willing to help. The staff form a close team and always jovial, I went for walks within the community with them. My game drive was amazing, straight forward, all arranged by the camp. The environment is around the camp is relaxed, the bonfire was lit every evening which was a bonus for me. The swimming pool is under renovation and will add great value to future visitors.

“Great Value nearby Lake Nakuru National Park”

Despite the confusion and awkwardness of the check-in process, the camp offers great value. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. They also serve lunch and dinner, but it takes a long time to get your food, so ordering in advance is highly recommended. The location is ideal for visiting Lake Nakuru National Park; the Nderit Gate is located very close to the property. Other guests mentioned seeing animals from the park fence, which runs right alongside the property, during their morning walks—a fantastic bonus! The evening bonfire was a very nice touch.

“Great Stay, But Check-in Was Awkward: Staff Needs Training on Bookings”

We stayed at Lillypond Camp for the purpose of visiting Lake Nakuru National Park. We had booked the tent option and were quite confused upon arrival. There were no tents available, and a staff member informed us they had all been taken by a group heading to Maasai Mara. Crucially, we had booked in advance and were never notified about the tents' unavailability. She then offered us a vacant room at the same price. The situation became confusing and awkward when another staff member checked our booking confirmation, thinking we had reserved a double room. The information we received was simply not consistent. After a lengthy discussion, we were finally settled into the double room and were given an extra mattress, which was a nice gesture. Despite the initial confusion, the place itself was nice. The food was delicious, although it took a very long time to be served. The pool was enjoyable, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Internet was available in the public shared area. The best part was the bonfire they made every night 🔥.

A really nice alternative to fancy and expensive parknlodges. They introduce Kenyan culture and ecological lifestyle. My recommendations for anyone travelling on a budged.

We stayed two nights at the Lillypond Camp and truly enjoyed our stay. Location is perfect for a visit to Lake Nakuru park with a gate at the end of the road. Staff is super friendly and makes you feel at home. Against additional costs you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp, also the team can arrange activities. The camp is run by a team of lovely and enthusiastic ladies. Definitely recommended!

“Fabulous place and kindhearted team!”

The place was so cute and well kept! There were many hangout spots, many places to light a fire, and numerous free activities like planting your own tree, feeding pigs, sports and walks! Additionally, the girls who work there were really the ones who made my stay extra special! They made me feel like part of the family and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and that I had a good time. A very hardworking and kind team! Many thanks!

Installation in the middle of the nature, just a km from Nderit gate and in front of the fence of the park. They offer excursion to know the local community. Bonfire was cozy and helped us keeping warm while waiting for dinner.

“Wonderful staff, great camping ground”

The staff is very warmhearthed and always there for you if you need them. The place is a bit tucked away from the city, but you'll find yourself in lots of tranquility

Very nice staff. Martin (if remember the name correctly) took a great care of me to make sure my stay is perfect. They upgraded my room (from tent to bungalow with own bathroom) for free, which was a great surprise for me. The food was freshly prepared for me and it was delicious and for a reasonable price. This place is a hidden gem. Thank you to the owner Peter who organized a private safari for me to the park with his private car charging at least so much less that what other tours offer for a day in the Lake Nakuru Park.

Very helpful and kind personel. They prepared for us campfire with dinner and breakfast just in front of our banda. The lunch next to zebras and impalas was outstanding. The price was very reasonably.
