With panoramic views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountain, this 5-star superior hotel in Ellmau is right next to the ski slopes and the Hartkaiser Cable Car. The Kaiserhof offers two individual SPA areas, as well as 5 award-winning restaurants. Awarded 2 toques in the Gault Millau guide in 2023, the restaurants serve Austrian and international gourmet cuisine. Owner Günter Lampert was named Austria’s Chef of the Year in 2011. In fine weather, meals are also served on the panoramic terrace which overlooks the surrounding mountains. The 4 Lilien Relax GUIDE 2023 Kaiserhof’s modern, award-winning spa area features SPA area on 4 floors, a sauna, a steam bath, unlimited Mountain pool - rooftop, and unique Panoramic views high above Ellmau. Beauty treatments, Ayurveda treatments, and a range of massages are offered as well. During summer, guests can enjoy the on-site natural swimming pond. The spacious 52 new and renovated rooms and suites, including oversized panoramic windows, fine wooden floors, exclusive furnishings, spacious bathrooms, extensive balconies and terraces Bathrobes, slippers and high-quality toiletries are provided in the elegant bathrooms. The Kaiserhof sells ski passes on site and provides a ski storage room. The centre of Ellmau is 2 km away.

Staff are all genuinely attentive. Location excellent. Nice quiet, classy vibe - nice change from the hustle and bustle at the Stanglwirt. Food was top class. Good at catering to special requests.

Great hotel. Luxurious and relaxing. Staff always friendly and helpful. Great facilities, when they were open. Hotel definitely has a luxury feel, while also feeling relaxed and none pretentious. While children cant go into the main spa / outdoor infinity pool, they have a great fun pool downstairs, along with a spa that they can use, which we actually found better, as we mostly had it to ourselves. Room had a touch of class, with a stunning view and balcony out the ski slopes and mountains beyond. Ski in / ski out was exactly that, although you need to be able to ski a steep bit of red in and out. Bathroom had proper drying radiator and plenty of room to move around and store clothes, etc. Half-board food was amazing. Both breakfast and dinner were part buffet, part menu, with a genuine touch of fine dining class in the menu. After last few years of buffet only style breakfast and dinner while skiing, it was a welcome change. Both children and adult breakfast & dinner menu were something quite special and varied. Also happy to cater to special requests.
