The view was amazing, all the way across valley, could see Ravena waterfalls and so many birds. Hosts were welcoming and the breakfast on our balconies was incredible - so much good food prepared with much care and generosity. A really fun cute easy walk into town down some steps and along the train tracks.

“Just brilliant”
The room was beautifully designed and very modern with an outstanding view across to a waterfall. The staff were very helpful. It was so relaxing sitting on the lovely balcony. The excellent Sri Lankan breakfast is served on the balcony. There are several good restaurants within walking distance.

Exceptionally welcoming host made us feel at home from the very beginning. Breakfast was a highlight - served right on our balcony each morning, with a different, delicious Sri Lankan specialty every day. The view from the apartment was absolutely stunning, and we were even able to watch the sunrise from our balcony.

“You get what you pay for”
The host has been very attentive and nice. It’s a cheap stay for what you get, so don’t expect luxury. It’s a repurposed house, where they sublet rooms, if your plan is to come to Ella, stay out visiting all day and coming back to sleep, this place does the job. Wifi was very good and the room size was good.

The room and view were five star. Sitting on the balcony at breakfast, that's the best view I've ever had for a breakfast. The rooms were large, modern and really nice. Good aircon. Good breakfast.

The best accommodation in Ella i think! We had a room viewing a waterfall. A waterfall! Not close, obviously, but across the valley, but still mesmerizing! The host is super nice, we didn't have adapter and he lent us his own. The breakfast was served in the terrace and it's one of the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. Every day something different and very tasty! The house is situated out of the noice Ella main street but it's easy to go on foot, around 7 min, or by tuk tuk. Highly recommended

What a wonderful spot. Lovely family. Quiet and peaceful haven, with incredible views. Feast of a breakfast, sets you up for the days adventures. Easy to walk into Ella via the train track, if you're up for a 15 minute walk. We walked both into Ella and back, during the day and late at night, with zero issues.

“Perfect”
The family is so nice and helps with everything! We really loved the breakfast it was the best we had in Sri Lanka! Location is good you only need 7 minutes to the center. The rooms were clean and cozy, the balcony and view were amazing. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Really lovely host and owners as well. They helped us with everything that we needed, they gave us all the information that we asked, they reached out before we arrived, and they helped us with the luggage as the way to the accommodation is a bit tricky to get to. Not to mention that the breakfast is amazing, prepared by them. View can’t get much better. All the best to them and all their future guests.

Incredible view from the balcony. An amazing Breakfast served on the balcony at any time you requested . This is a family run place and the service was brilliant. They can arrange anything for you -trips ,Tuk Tuk , taxi . Good shower, comfortable bed. Easily walkable into Ella town . Did I mention the best ever view ?!

Such a lovely family looking after us. Huge room and balcony with fabulous views. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, all cooked by “Mum” and far too much. A short steep descent down to railway tracks and 10 minutes into Ella town centre. Bathroom good with hot shower. Aircon and mosquito net. Just be aware it is a steep 50 steps down to the property from the road.

Amazing stay at Wood heart guesthouse. The room was very comfortable with a great view overseeing Ella's mountains. Breakfast was delicious. Salinga and his family were very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this place ! 🧡
