“Dangerous”

I woke up a moment after sunrise to enjoy the beautiful weather in Ella (as it only stays nice in the morning, then it rains). Still sleepy, I headed towards the window to draw the curtains. Unfortunately, there was a large puddle on the floor because water was leaking from the ceiling, and I slipped. Luckily, my head didn't hit the corner of the wooden bed. I only bruised my leg, cut, and sprained my wrist. The staff didn't want to come to the room because it was raining. Besides, they hardly spoke English. Very rude women. I wanted to ask for help, at least to come to the room and hang the curtain that I tore when I fell, they just ignored me. Moreover, there were bugs in the room, no mosquito net, and a leech got into me at night. The place is close to the road, so it's noisy, dogs barking all night. I stayed further from the city (15 minutes away by tuk-tuk), hoping it would be quieter, unfortunately it wasn’t. Also - not a good place for single female traveller, the doors didn’t close properly.

“An exceptional experience and sweetest hosts”

The property was above all expectations! An amazing experience and the sweetest hosts I could ever imagine. The breakfast was a traditional Sri Lanka breakfast and was very delicious. the hosts served even more after we told that the food was delicious. I wish I could have stayed a few more nights since it made me feel very relaxed. I can highly recommend this place!

Great place to relax and watch the local wildlife. At night is possible to see fireflies and stars. It all was beautiful.

The property looked amazing and was so comfortable. Surrounded by nature on all four sides, literally woke up to the sound of nature every morning. The food prepared by the host and family is delicious - home cooked Sri Lankan meals! would definitely recommended. they were also very helpful in telling us which places to visit that would be private .

it was an excellent stay in villa skygazer, the room was very beautiful and same as the photos, the bed was very comfortable. Host family very freindly. the room surrounded with trees and nature with an incredible morning view. the ladies were so kind and so welcoming, also she provided us with a very delicious food. We recommended this villa anyone traveling to Ella.

“Beautiful wood cabin in the jungle”

We spent two fantastic nights in this beautiful wood cabin close to Ella. The local family who owns this is place is super friendly and kind.

The family is really very warm. Very trying to make you feel good. We really enjoyed the beautiful view from our terrace overlooking the green. Very clean. Great place to stay. The breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back here. Thanks for the nice time.

nice place to stay in Ella for a very good price, especially when you don’t want be in the more touristic centre of the village. Very friendly manager/host. she can make the best chicken curry in the world!
