Loved our stay here! Indi has thought of everything, so impressed with the setup of the room, bathroom and outdoor area. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka with a variety of food in abundance. Love the jacuzzi overlooking monkeys in the trees outside. Great location, walking distance to 9 arch bridge and restaurants. Indi arranged a guide to collect us for a sunrise hike up Ella Rock and a tuk tuk to go to dinner. Thank you so much Indi and family, we loved our stay.

We stayed here for 4 days and it completely exceeded all our expectations – it truly felt like a little paradise. The room was absolutely amazing, beautifully designed and so comfortable. We felt at home from the very first moment. Everything was peaceful and quiet, which made it even more special. The jacuzzi was a real highlight – perfect to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. What made this place truly unforgettable is the incredibly warm and kind family. Their hospitality is something very special, and you can feel it in every detail. From the terrace and even from the jacuzzi, you can watch so many animals in the trees just in front – monkeys, squirrels and much more. It’s such a unique experience and something you really have to see for yourself.

Indika and his family were incredibly welcoming. They had thought of everything. The place was full of lovely little surprises. I have never seen such amazing attention to detail in any accommodation I have ever stayed in before anywhere in the world. The space is bigger than it looks. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially couples. We were really sad to leave.

“Gorgeous homestay near Ella Town.”

We’ve had a great stay at this wonderful homestay near Ella Town. The location is really convenient and we’ve been able to walk to and from town easily, with other sites of interest a short tuk tuk ride away. Indika, the owner, is so lovely and really makes you feel welcome and comfortable, he took us to a few places in his tuktuk at a very reasonable price, including Nine Arch Bridge and a tea plantation. The room itself is so spacious, really well thought out, gorgeous design with an incredible bathroom complete with a jacuzzi, and a big private and peaceful patio space outside. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a clean, private and comfortable accommodation whilst visiting Ella.

Amazing stay! The pictures and videos online don’t do it justice. The place is even more cute and chic in real life and has everything one could need. Breakfast was delicious, and the biggest plus for us was the location, literally just 3–4 minutes from downtown. Indika and his family were incredibly generous and welcoming. He also arranged our Yala National Park safari along with all pick-ups and drop-offs. Both drivers were extremely hospitable and made the experience seamless. 10/10 — would highly recommend to everyone.

Close enough to Ella to walk to all the restaurants but set back to give you some privacy. Indika and Thanaka have thought of all the little things you could need in the spacious room and terrace with lots of places to relax. The breakfast was superb and filled us up to dinner. After we asked about where we could get a specific dinner dish which did not appear to be available in the local restaurants Thanaka cooked it for us - so yum. Such wonderful attention to detail and hospitality is hard to find, book I and enjoy as we did. An additional bonus is Indika organised our transport all over Sri Lanka initially for our family group of 8 and also for the two of us including a safari. All the drivers were prompt and careful and the pricing was very reasonable.

Good location tucked away from the main town but still within walking distance. Lovely room and well looked after with beautiful breakfast and arranging tours.

Everybody went over and above to make us feel comfortable in the space, they had thought of so many extra little touches. This might be the most undersold description on booking.com as the room is large, there is a beautiful terrace space and a surprise jacuzzi! They served us an amazing sri lankan breakfast which was plentiful, delicious and set us up till dinner. Indika kindly took me and my injured husband up to the nine arches and waited for us to walk around and made a great tour guide at last minute for a reasonable price.

After returning home, we can easily say it was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. The hosts were absolutely amazing and surprised us every day. The breakfast was delicious. We also received an incredible gift from them — it’s the best souvenir we brought back from Sri Lanka. Thanks again. A 10/10 rating isn’t enough; if it were possible, we’d give them 100/10! :)

Super friendly and welcoming host and family. The apartment is beautifully and stylishly furnished, with a whirlpool, a comfortable swing chair and a cozy bed. The location is quiet but still quite central. The breakfast was very tasty. I can definitely recommend staying here.

Great location, just a few minutes’ walk from the city center. The staff were very eager to help, sometimes even a bit too much.

“Beautiful place, beautiful hosts”

I can't rave enough about how wonderful our experience at Ella was, thanks to the generous and impeccable hospitality of Indika, Thanaka and their little girl. From the moment Indi picked us up from the station, we knew we were in for a treat - and as soon as we walked through the door of the beautiful room they've created for guests, we cancelled our next booking and added two extra nights to our stay. Their place is only five minutes walk to the centre of everything in Ella town, and also an easy walk to Nine Arches Bridge and the Little Adam's Peak trailhead. The room is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed - not just in Sri Lanka - but anywhere in the world. We were genuinely welcomed like family - even being invited into their home to celebrate Indi's birthday with his extended family. And adorably, they knew it was my birthday the next day, and gave me a mug that they'd had printed with photos from our stay there. Indi was always happy to drive us wherever we wanted to go - including Diyaluma Falls, tea plantations, and the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery - even on his birthday. We started every day with a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast which filled us up for the whole day, and their suggestion for dinner on the first night - C Ella restaurant - was our favourite evening meal in Ella. When it was time for us to leave, Indi found us a driver to take us to Tangalle (our next stay) including a 6 hour morning private safari in Yala along the way, all for a very reasonable rate. He'd also ensured we had a filling Sri lankan breakfast waiting for us in the Jeep. If you're lucky enough to find a date that Symbol is available, lock it in. You will have a truly memorable stay.

“The perfect home stay, with acces to Ella in 5 minutes!”

This was the perfect home stay, close to the centre of Ella. We were feeling a little under the weather and the owners really looked after us, the peace and calm of the home stay was just what we needed. The warm jacuzzi was an added bonus! Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The family were super helpful and friendly. They helped arrange our travel to and from the accommodation and suggested lots of things we could do in Ella.
