A wonderful place in the mountains surrounding Ella. Stunning view from the terrace, in the middle of the peaceful forest, perfect for bird watching and we even saw deer very close by. Owner and staff are more than welcoming, supportive and friendly. The food is amazing and really nourishes you after a long hiking day. There is a bus connection to town and tuktuk service is also available.

I loved the way the owner took care of all of the tourists. I would like to visit it again.

This was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka! We loved the outside area and the view. The family is also really friendly! Highly recommend it, especially for people who rather stay a bit further away from the crowded, touristic city!

Had a wonderful stay! The place is beautifully located in the mountains, offering peaceful surroundings and lovely views. Clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. Extended for a couple of nights more to spend time in nature

Loved how helpful the owner and staff were. Picked us up and dropped us in Ella multiple times. A little outside the centre of Ella, but beautiful and easy to access the secret waterfall, Adam’s peak etc. best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka yet, great prices

The two men that work there were so lovely and friendly! They helped out with our laundry, cooked us food and did everything with a smile The view and location of the place was stunning and so peaceful. We had a tuktuk so it made it easy to drive to Ella town. Nice to be away from the busy-ness and have so chill time for a few days. Also they have the cutest dog called Billy!

Lahiru and Manju are always there to help and the view is just amazing. Also the food they prepare is very good

“Amazing”

The accommodation is paradise For anyone who wants to escape the noise of the city, I can highly recommend this accommodation. The rooms are absolutely great, you have your own bathroom with toilet and your own hot shower. You can walk to the city through beautiful tea plantations or simply take the bus, which is super easy, cheap, and fast. The hostel owners and staff are always helpful and take good care of you; you're simply in very good hands. What's more, the food is amazing. I had the best curry and rice of my entire trip there!

The place itself is quite arty and lots of things are handmade. They have nice sitting areas & hammocks. The view is amazing.

“A peaceful escape with stunning views and warm hospitality”

We loved our stay at 1964 Holiday Bungalow! Although it’s a bit far from the center, so you’ll need a scooter or be ready to take a tuk-tuk, it’s absolutely worth it. The views are stunning, and it’s the perfect place to relax and connect with nature, surrounded by greenery, peace, and all the facilities you need to unwind and enjoy. The staff were always very friendly and attentive, and the dinner we had at the hostel was one of the best meals of our entire trip to Sri Lanka! I would definitely come back without a doubt!

The view is amazing, the place is very clean and spacious, the vibe is chill, the food is delicious but the highlight of the whole thing is the service provided by the two gentlemen working there who truly go above and beyond.

“Spent some days at the paradise!!!”

The place is absolutely magical, the house is surrounded by nature and you can enjoy the peace and calm there. Lahiro and his mate are really helpful and they just make your stay the best, totally grateful to have spent such a good time there. The food is amazing and really big portions, highly recommended!!

The owner is a very hard working, kind and helpful person who seems to love his job and spending time with the guests.
