There was a lot to like about our stay at the Tea Cabins. Upon arrival, they offer complimentary tuk tuks to help you climb the tea hills to your accommodation. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Our cabin was beautiful and overlooked the surrounding mountains. We truly felt secluded in our cabin barely being able to see the other accommodations. Food was amazing and we were able to organize Sri Lankan and Western options. They also offered tuk tuks with reasonable prices to go see sites and close activities. We really enjoyed our stay here and really felt like we were in Tea country

“Beautiful and relaxing”

The location was absolutely perfect, not too far from the main centre, offering a quiet and peaceful stay. The cabins were beautiful and had everything you needed. The staff were so accommodating, offering a free tuk-tuk to and from the town centre, made for the perfect day trips. Breakfast delivered to your door daily, offering a wide selection of options. Communication was wonderful, send a message and everything you needed was ready to go. Food was amazing and once again delivered to your door. Such kindness and comfort was prevalent throughout our stay. The hard working each and everyone puts in to your stay to make it so welcoming, doesn’t go unnoticed. We will definitely be back one day and once the new build is complete I can only imagine how beautiful it will be.

Amazing location 15mins from Ella center, lovely cabin and incredibly kind and helpful staff. They made a WhatsApp group a week before arrival for all questions and communication. They helped us arrange taxis to and from Ella, lovely breakfasts and dinner, and all the tuktuks rides while we stayed. Really attentive!

We loved the Villa with a private pool. Food is also very good. Free tuk tuk is also provided. Overall it is very very nice.

The staff were absolutely helpful with every request we had. The view is incredible. I can only recommend this stunning location. The pool and facilities are in very good shape and is worth the money.

“Perfect!”

We had a great stay here and the staff honestly couldn’t have been more helpful. Before we even arrived, they arranged our transport from Colombo and also helped organise our onward travel to Udawalawe, which made everything really easy and stress-free. The room was comfortable and the bed was very comfy, with a nice shower and beautiful scenic views from the property. We also really appreciated the free breakfast delivered directly to the room each morning — such a nice touch. Drinks and food were also available throughout the stay which was very convenient. The pool was lovely to relax in during the heat of the day, although it was absolutely freezing! Still very refreshing after being out exploring. The location was great for visiting the Nine Arches Bridge, only a short distance away. Just be prepared for a walk through a very dark tunnel filled with birds on the way there — definitely part of the experience! The upstairs rooms also had Netflix which was nice for relaxing in the evenings. Overall though, a really enjoyable stay with genuinely excellent service and hospitality.

“Amazing cabins with breathtaking views”

We absolutely loved our stay at the Tea Cabins. The accommodation was spotless and the staff were very attentive and helpful. It is in a very quiet area, around a 10 minute tuktuk drive from Ella centre, but they provide you with a tuktuk service to and from the cabins making this an easy commute for dinner etc. The breakfast is delivered to your room and is delicious. The views from the cabin are beautiful and the pool was great, we were sad to leave!!

“Incredible Stay”

One of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka! The private infinity pool overlooking the mountains was an absolute highlight and made the stay truly unforgettable. Both dinner and breakfast were served in the room and were delicious. There is also a lovely shared pool available, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The free tuk-tuk pickup from Ella was very helpful and made arrival easy and stress-free. Our only regret was not staying longer than one night - we would definitely visit again!

“a super special place, the best place to stay in ella”

we were very excited to stay here, and it more than exceeded our expectations. it is a little off the beaten track, but they organise tuk tuks for you to and from ella centre free of charge, and to other key locations for an excellent price. the tuk service was outstanding, they pick you up from anywhere in ella within 15 minutes, at any time. the room itself was incredibly designed and super clean, with lots of amenities. it felt very secluded and private, and they decorated the room beautifully for our anniversary. the staff went above and beyond constantly. i would not have wanted to stay anywhere else in ella. breakfast was also really nice, and very big considering it was included with the room.

“The most amazing experience!”

Everything! The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. I needed help with some mosquito repellent and the staff went into the town to get it for me. The cabin was incredible and the location is out of this world- the views are amazing. The food was also incredible. The stay was 10/10 and was a highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka.

“Paradise found.”

We loved our stay at Tea Cabins. They are stunning buildings and incredibly spacious inside and out. Nicely appointed, a comfy bed, and storage space inside. Breakfast was served on our terrace overlooking nature - simply perfect. It was plentiful and tasty with a western and Sri Lankan option. The pool and private sun deck were such a tranquil treat between exploring the surrounding area. It was a joy to just sit - or lie out on the over-jungle netting - and watch the birds, monkeys, deer, and other wildlife do its thing. There’s a free and super-handy tuktuk service into Ella, which is a 10-15 minute ride away. It was always available and very prompt to arrive. We highly recommend Tea Cabins for a wonderful relaxing, comfortable and peaceful stay in nature.

Our stay at Tea Cabins was really amazing! Nice views, beautiful cabin, private pool and the staff was very friendly. It is a bit outside of the city (which we actually liked) but they offered us a free tuktuk ride to and from Ella city center so this was no problem. And as a bonus you can take a beautiful walk directly from the cabins along the train tracks to the Nine Arch Bridge.

The cabins were in a fantastic location - quiet, peaceful and with beautiful views. The staff were so accomodating and friendly. The free daily return tuk tuk trip into the main street was great and they organised well priced transfers and day trips! The food was also delicious.

We had an incredible stay in Ella! The location in the middle of the jungle made the whole experience feel magical and peaceful. The Tea Cabins were absolutely perfect—beautifully designed, very comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The private pool was a highlight and made our stay even more special. Waking up to the jungle views was unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella!
