Good location, however access was near impossible as the dirt road had partially collapsed because of storms. We were the only people staying as others had cancelled. No warning or update was given by owner.

What a fantastic property! Beautiful property located on the back of the Main Street in Ella, only an 8 minute walk. VERY clean rooms! Comfortable beds and over all, all facilities you need-all of which all worked well! The man who runs this property is such a welcoming and kind man, he was happy to help with anything I needed during my stay in Ella. The balcony area is just next level, beautifully aesthetic, tranquil and a fantastic place to watch wildlife in the trees such as birds and Sri Lanka’s native giant tree squirrel!

This place is outstanding. The location is fantastic...a very short walk into Ella, then back to the tranquility of the lodge. Angelo goes above and beyond...place was spotless, food was best breakfast in SriLanka. If you are considering booking...do so, you won't regret it.

The Location is really great - 10 minutes by foot to the city center but it is really quiet. The host was super helpful and friendly. We could check in earlier and he helped us with our tuk tuk drop off! I can highly recommend this place! Super nice terrace!

The hotel was amazing! It was really close to city but you felt like in a jungle - quiet and calm. The host was great, really helpful on every step, restaurant recommendations, tours, transport - anything you need he will support the best way. And of top of that, hotel offers the best breakfast we tried in Sri Lanka. 100% recommend!

Such a well maintained, clean property, in a beautiful quiet location on the outskirts of Ella; yet only a short 10 minute stroll in to the town centre.

Angelo is a great guy and takes care of his guests. The Lodge is a few minutes walk outside of the noisy town centre.

What a paradise! Beautifully located a bit outside of Ella (but still only 10minutes walk) nice rooms with stunning fews and delicious breakfast (the best we had so far!!) We were warmly welcomed and the host is so nice, helping us with our travel plans with Tipps and also organised us a driver for the next day. I’m sure it’s the best places to stay at while staying in Ella!!

The room was lovely and clean and spacious. It was very peaceful away from the main street. Anjalo was a very caring and hospitable host. Breakfast was so big, very generous.

We loved everything about it. The location, the room, the lovely terrace and the amazing breakfast (biggest breakfast ever, and on top it was delicious). Everything’s perfect in every detail. Definitely the best place we stayed in during our 2 weeks trip to Sri Lanka. Anjalo is the best host!!! 😍 we hope to come back one day!

Our host did so much to ensure we had a great stay, lots of information, help and of course the breakfast was beautiful!

We had the most wonderful stay at Tantra Ella Lodge! Angelo is a great host, always helpful, always ready to give some tips about nice restaurants and activities in and around Ella. The room was very nice and had everything we needed, and the view from the balcony was stunning – giant squirrels and hornbills came to see us in the morning amongst the beautiful trees. The hotel itself is very close to the city center, but at the same time the little street where it is located is very peaceful. We would have stayed longer if we could!

A great place to sit, relax and watch wildlife. The restaurant area was high in the jungle area so birds and animals were easy to spot . Anjalo was very good at communicating with us and was always there if we needed anything .

“Amazing experience, cosy rooms and comfortable bed”

Its a little bit away from the main busy area which is amazing because you get the best of both worlds - its takes roughly 10 minutes to walk to the main street but you dont hear the noise in the evening, only the birds and other beautiful wildlife. The facility is great, beds are very comfortable and the area is very cosy. I highly recommend this place.
