Stunning views across the small "valley" towards the waterfall, quiet environment, awesome people running the place, and great filling breakfast. The only drawback would be the road to the accommodation. It's really up-and-down and may be a challenge to walk as well as ride a bike/tuk-tuk if you're inexperienced. That's the only reason I'm giving 9 points, not 10.

Charming and caring host who organised transport for us and took us on trips around Ella despite it being his birthday. Delicious and fresh breakfast (included) and simple but tasty homemade dinner (on request). Great view to the waterfall and you can watch the trains entering Ella a few times a day. Very quiet surroundings except for peacocks calling and squirrels playing on the roof. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Silent Nest to anybody coming to the region.

The host family is very hospitable, responsive, and nice. We like the yummy breakfast on the balcony with the beautiful views. We liked sitting there in the morning and in the night and enjoying nature.

The mark on the map is wrong. The real address is 300m further down the road, where "Mars Wonderland View" on Google maps is located. It was tricky to locate and I had to call. The address is: V28V+W49, Ella 90090, Sri Lanka or coordinates: 6.867474, 81.042790 Location is a mixed bag. It is nice for going to the Ella rock. You continue to go on the road from the center, then climb to the railway tracks and keep going (there are plenty of the online guides, but I recommend AllTrails app for Ella, which shows otherwise unmarked paths, especially for Ella Rock and the 9-arch bridge). Green arrow on a picture. You will also save a lot of time if you go into the city by following the blue line, which means you'll go on/near the railway tracks instead on making a huge hook by following the road. Locals and tourists do it all the time. Don't turn to the red lined road. It's an pointless down/uphill road, unless you go to a bus stop. The view from the terrace is great! There are many wild animals living right outside the terrace: birds finding bugs on a tree, chipmunks chasing birds away, geckos catching the fireflies and the fireflies blinking beautifully at night. The waterfall and an occasionally passing train in the distance complete the picture. No denial about the beauty and I don't think many places offered the same. The animals can wake you up at night, though. Like a gecko which got into the room at night and started screaming/singing. Or chipmunks which loudly jump on the roof. The furnishing of the room was good and the rooms were clean. There is hot water. The pressure in one room was weak, but no big deal if you aren't picky. Still, please fix it. The breakfast was included and was decent/good as well.

The people were very nice and kind, and the room was good with a comfortable bed and bathroom. The hotel's location also seems to be ideal for those seeking a quiet and peaceful environment. However, it's unfortunate that the food was only average and that getting to town without a three-wheeler may not be possible for some guests, as it requires a significant expense. The low water pressure in the bathroom is also a concern, and it's good to know that the hotel needs to improve its water system.

It was cosy little accommadation. Beautiful water fall and could hear the birds chirping and Peacoks was awesome. It was a strenous walk to the waterfall on the whole we really enjoyed and relaxed. The scenery was really wonderful. Might decide to come back again.

This is a nice, quiet and clean place, located a bit of distance from a main road. They have some breakfast included into booking and then you can have "extended" version, just need to pay a bit extra. The room was clean, there was a kettle so you can make your own tea. Also a really nice view from balkony to the nature, farms and waterfall. Google location is not accurate, just keep going ahead like another 200-300m and you'll see a sign "Silent Nest". Wi-Fi was available for the 1st day, and then it disappeared for any reason, but as I was out most of time so it did not bother me at all. And I guess it is easy to fix issue should you need Wi-Fi connection during your stay, or just buy a local Sim card :) And few words about owners, they are nice young family who is trying the best to run their buisiness and always happy to assist. Thanks a lot and hopefully see you next time.
