Simply stunning property and incredible hosts! We had our own private balcony with a chair swing and lounging area with a perfect view of the picturesque waterfall and perfect sunrise viewing from anywhere. The hosts were so accommodating! They picked us up at the train station, organized our transfer to our next location, booked massages for us and served up lovely breakfasts each morning on the rooftop patio overlooking waterfalls, Little Adams Peak and Ella Rock. It is a very short walk into Ella down the train tracks. There are stairs, but you're in the mountains so its best to expect you'll be doing stairs or walking hills no matter where you go.. so it is certainly NOT a drawback. It is like 50 steps maybe to the top room.. you can do it.

“Serenity with a stunning mountain view”

I stayed in this little retreat for a week. I watched many sunrises and sunsets from the beautiful swinging chair on my private balcony. The bed was comfortable, the big windows gorgeous to bring in light and there was a fridge and kettle which is a bonus for making cups of tea or eating leftovers if you don’t feel like going out. The town is literally only about a 10minute walk along the tracks. So easy! The hosts are so kind and can help you out with taxi and Tuktuk services too. Breakfast was very tasty with a bit of difference each day. So handy (rather than leaving straight away in the morning) and then figure yourself out for the rest of the day.

“A beautiful location with an incredible view, offering a peaceful stay surrounded by nature.”

The hotel is located just outside the center of Ella, which I found to be a huge plus as I love the peace and quiet. Moreover, it is situated on a mountainside, offering a spectacular view of the mountains. There is also a terrace where breakfast is served; starting your day like this, in total tranquility with that view, is absolutely priceless. The walk to the village takes about fifteen minutes, but there are plenty of tuk-tuks available that can take you back to the hotel for a very small fee. As is always the case in Sri Lanka, the breakfast was extensive and delicious. While the hotel is a bit simpler and less 'fancy' than a boutique hotel, it perfectly meets all standards for comfort and hygiene. The host and hostess are incredibly friendly.

Lovely owners, a really kind family, and they have thought of everything you could need. So helpful, great breakfast, laundry etc. views are amazing. Great fun to walk into Ella along the train tracks, day and night and we walked right out to 9 arch bridge and up little Adams peak.

“The Actual Secret View with the most welcoming host family”

Exceptional stay with the most welcoming host family. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They were not joking with the secret view. We almost felt disappointed on more famous viewpoints in Ella because the view from on own rooftop was so gorgeous :) Short walking distance (10min) to the center following train tracks. The host family helped us plan our trips every day and offered very affordable tuktuk rides where ever we needed to go. The host even drove us personally to Horton Plains where we had a chance encounter with leopards. Memories to last a lifetime :)

We received a wonderful welcome from the family and they helped us with our travel both locally and to the South coast. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace. It’s ideally located for walking into town along the railway tracks.
