It was an amazing experience. We have a private suite with a view of Buddhist monastery. The rooms were clean. Wi-Fi was working good and the breakfast were better than in restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange tuk-tuks, Informed us on how to get around, Recommended us some places to visit in Ella. High-quality stay. I highly recommend it. they also have a cute puppy that made this day even more enjoyable ;)

Tucked away in a mountain road, serene atmosphere, the owner brings you homemade breakfast every morning at the time you request! Only 2 rooms so it feels very personal and it also very quiet. In the night you can hear only nature around you ! Only a short 20m walk to the centre

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host and his family went above and beyond for the duration of our stay. We had a really early check out and they woke up early so we could get a tuktuk to our meeting place - very helpful and really appreciated!

Everything was exceptionally good. The host and his family were amazing, the most friendly people. We travelled with our baby daughter. His daughter would come play with her. Super warm family! The breakfast with the view was so good and we had dinner there every evening. We’re always surprised to ser what we get for food. All in all, I’d recommend this place to everyone. I hope my daughter will come back to meet them when she’s older. That’d be so cute!

“Can’t recommend it enough”

We loved our stay at Secret Mountain Paradise — it truly lives up to its name. Chavi was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing, changed day to day, and featured traditional, tasteful dishes with fresh fruits and local cuisine. It was a highlight each morning. The property is beautifully overlooked by the monastery on the hill, which added an incredible sense of atmosphere and calm to the whole experience. We’re very grateful for Chavi’s hospitality and also highly recommend their tours — you really can’t beat them. An unforgettable stay.

“Cozy accomodation in the heart of Ella, fairytale views.”

The view is amazing, maybe the best in the area, you can’t beat seeing the temple lit up at night, photos just don’t do it justice. The breakfast that’s included is a true feast, which is a really nice touch as the accommodation is a little out of the way but it’s worth it for the peace and view. A tuk tuk service is offered with prices a bit cheaper than what drivers propose in the centre. Chami was a great host, attentive and helpful. He built the place himself which is so impressive. It’s perfect for a 2night holiday from your holiday. Working hot water and fridge, tea station.

Peaceful and calm environment with a stunning mountain view. The place is about 1.5 km from Ella town, so it’s quiet but still close enough to get around easily. They offer their own tuk tuk service at a much cheaper rate than in town. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious.

The room was a lovely size with en-suite. Great balcony with views of the paddy fields and temple which was gorgeous all lit up at night. Breakfast was great. The host and his family were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Bonus: the first hot shower we’ve had in Sri Lanka

“Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay”

We had the best time at Secret Mountain Paradise and it definitely lives up to the name! The location and view are stunning and the room was very comfortable. What really made our stay 10/10 was how lovely, helpful and accommodating our host was. The place is a bit remote, but that was never a problem as he was always on hand to drive us anywhere in the Tuk Tuk. He also helped us organise things to do, and his wife is a great cook and made us breakfast and lunch one day! Would highly recommend this place :D

A wonderful stay in the middle of the forest! The place is truly hidden, a real retreat surrounded by nature, which makes the experience unique. Although it’s a bit difficult to get to, our 5* host did everything to ensure a comfortable stay, even helping with the tuktuk transport. The breakfast was delicious, and we also had the opportunity to do laundry, which was a great extra touch. The facilities are not luxurious, but the true luxury is waking up to the sound of nature. The quality/price ratio is excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat.

The location is amazing, view to the temple (and a bit of sunset) is beautiful and you do feel like in a jungle. The room is nice and has everything (even a mini fridge).
